10 International Women’s Day Things to Buy That Will Actually Help Women
They’re all care of female-led companies, too.

We already told you that we are adhering to the Women’s Strike guidelines that ask that we only spend money at independent or female-owned companies today. Because money talks. It talks when you spend it; it talks when you take it away; it talks when you gift it (generously, often, or just every once in awhile). With that in mind, we’ve rounded up some excellent places to spend your money today while you’re not spending money elsewhere (big box, mass, etc.). All of these companies are owned by and founded by women, and all are donating at least a portion of the proceeds—if not all—to organizations that make a big difference for women living here and around the world. As La Ligne, cofounder Molly Howard, told us, “As female founders, we’re inspired by the work Free The Nipple is doing to raise awareness for gender equality. And we’re excited to be able to offer customers the chance to get involved in a great cause and celebrate International Women’s Day in a way that feels true to us.” (Also, how good is their clever, cute, and statement-making Libérez le Nipple t-shirt?) Today, spend your money where it counts.
