A Midsummer Shopping Edit, Courtesy of Our Style Editor
From a white eyelet midi skirt to a classic leather notebook, these are the items she's loving this month.

Welcome to The Monthly Edit—Coveteur's (you guessed it!) monthly series where editors and tastemakers share the fashion, beauty, and lifestyle items they can't get enough of and think you'll be obsessed with, too.
My ideal summer mood board is pretty much a dispatch from The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999). Unoriginal, I know, but there's a reason it's a classic. In July, I want to feel and dress like I'm on the Italian coastline. Jude Law included, hopefully. Certain brands—think Wales Bonner and Attersee—seem to embody my desires with a certain flair and help me navigate sweltering city heat in style. To set the scene in its entirety, I'm sprinkling in items like a tomato-scented candle from Flamingo Estate, a classic leather notebook for evening musings, and, of course, a great tote to carry all of this stuff in. If you’re in the need of a midsummer refresh, shop my favorite staples of the month, below.
Geometric Knit Halterneck Top
In my eyes, Grace Wales Bonner can do no wrong. I love the seemingly athletic twist she has put on this knit halter top—the sportiest look you'll see me in this summer.

The Shorts
Launched by former writer and editor Isabel Wilkinson Schor in 2019, Attersee is one of my favorite labels for easy, elegant summer staples. I'm currently coveting these shorts—I can already picture wearing them with a classic button down and leather sandals.

Perriand 18kt Gold Vermeil Choker with Lapis
I'm on a big bead kick right now, which includes hunting for intriguing strands at my local Housing Works. The real dream though is this lapis choker from Sophie Buhai. How great would they look with a simple white T-shirt?

Voluminous Original Mascara
I wear very little, if any, makeup in the summer. However, the one product I use to feel slightly more put together is a heavy coat of mascara. No matter how many new ones I try, I always return to my tried-and-true L'Oreal voluminous original mascara.

Silk Cotton Eyelet Asymmetric Balloon Skirt
After hunting for a white eyelet midi skirt for quite some time (my sartorial missions are often very specific), I settled on this rendition from Tibi. I'm obsessed with the slightly off-kilter sculptural detailing on this midi skirt—perfect to style with anything from a T-shirt to a blouse.

Nolan Sandal
I learned about footwear brand A. Emery from a fellow fashion insider and have since become obsessed with their affordable range of summer styles. Despite the trend towards chunkier footwear this season, I prefer something much more streamlined and I'm a sucker for lace-up detailing.

Striped Ribbed Bikini Set
Swimwear is one of the few spaces in which I like to experiment with color. I've had my eye on this yellow bikini from Marni and might have to take the plunge (literally) soon.

Roma Heirloom Tomato Candle
This is my favorite evening scent of the summer (I've already burned through one and am now on my second candle). It pairs perfectly with a glass of wine—especially if you're not generating any cooking smells on your own. And, for those who are hesitant, it's not too tomato-y. Trust me.

Crochet Paper Hat
I have this hat and I absolutely love the silhouette—the extended bucket shape is top of mind at the moment. Plus, it squishes down so easily in your suitcase without destroying the structure.

Classic Notebook Hard Cover
I need to have a notebook on hand all the time, whether I'm working or not, to jot down ideas. I've been carrying Moleskine for years (can't fault a classic!). It's so much more fun to use than the Notes app.

Interwoven Strap-Detailing Tote Bag
Every New Yorker needs a good park tote. The same sentiment applies to a beach bag in other areas of the country. I love a classic leather bag with sprawling space for all of my necessities.
