I'm a beauty editor willing to try (almost) anything. From a sporadic dose of Sculptra in hopes of the under-eye area of my dreams to armpit Botox to fulfill my dream of not sweating even on the hottest days, I've been diving headfirst into all that being a beauty editor has to offer—and that is, of course, including beauty tools. Lately, my beauty tool rotation has been pretty much limited to my Medicube Booster Pro X2 and TheraFace Mask Glo, both tools I adore and that have emerged as favorites on my testing journey—in other words, for me, any tool I try faces stiff competition.
On paper, Therabody's TheraFace Pro has it all: a microcurrent setting for lifting and snatching, red light therapy for radiance, blue light therapy for breakout-free skin, a deep-cleansing setting, and even more. The compact size and travel-friendly nature were particularly intriguing and are a selling point amongst even the most skeptical of beauty gurus.
So, how does Therabody's TheraFace Pro compare to other beauty tools? Ahead, my honest review.
My Skin:
My skin is naturally dry year-round. I finally feel like I've fully curated a skincare routine that lets me wake up without tight, dry, irritated skin, so now I'm looking to add tools, products, and treatments to supplement and address other concerns. Although my skin doesn't feel irritated, I'm prone to redness in the cheeks, especially in the fall and winter, along with a general dullness. Despite my skin being dry, I'm met with monthly hormonal breakouts that feel impossible to get rid of.
The Therabody TheraFace Pro:
I think of Therabody's TheraFace Pro as a one-stop shop for glowing, breakout-free, snatched, and thoroughly cleansed skin. This tool comes with interchangeable ring attachments and offers 8 professional-grade treatments: percussive therapy to ease pain, microcurrent therapy for that toned and snatched skin that we're all striving for, infrared light therapy to achieve brightness even in the dullest of weather, red light therapy for fine lines as we try to achieve the youthful, glowing skin of our dreams, blue light therapy to combat breakouts, including those that tend to put up a good stubborn fight, and deep cleansing to remove dirt, oil, and makeup to an extent that our hands just aren't capable of, and hot ring and cold ring therapy, attachments that are sold separately.

With this, you no longer need a separate massager, cleansing brush, or microcurrent device, and you don't need to make room to store your beauty-tool collection—it offers it all, and it all fits into a cute little pouch.
The Results:
The microcurrent, blue light, and deep-cleansing settings emerged as my favorite modes. I use the microcurrent setting daily because the older I get, the more concerned I am about staying snatched. I want to preserve the bone structure and cheekbones that my mother passed down to me and keep everything defined. This mode has three levels—start at level 1 and work your way up, with level 3 offering a noticeable zap feeling.
The blue light setting has been a surprising miracle for me. Once a month, when hormones are raging and my skin doesn't know how to handle it, I get breakouts on my chin, jawline, and around my mouth. Sometimes they're those painful under-the-skin pimples that topical products can't seem to help, and they're often red, itchy, and irritated. The TheraFace Pro allows me to directly target those spots with blue light therapy—and, to my surprise, I woke up with tamed skin and calmed irritation after trying it on my monthly dose of breakouts.
The deep-cleansing setting makes washing my face feel more like a sensorial, therapeutic experience. It feels like a little facial massage at the end of a long day and leaves me with skin that simply feels cleaner than if I had just used my hands.

Although those are my favorites, every setting has fulfilled a purpose in my routine: red light and infrared light therapy for when I don't feel like doing a whole LED mask session, percussive therapy for tension headaches, hot ring therapy for when I need my products to really penetrate into my skin, and cold ring therapy in the mornings when I need to appear less puffy and like I got an amazing night of sleep.
Worth It?
At $419.99, the TheraFace Pro is roughly in line with the top LED masks on the market, including Therabody's TheraFace Mask Glo at $379.99, and top microcurrent devices. What makes this tool and the cost worth it is that it's an LED device, a microcurrent device, and so much more, all packed into one lightweight, travel-friendly pouch. Long story short: yes, it's worth it.

TL;DR:
Therabody's TheraFace Pro regularly sells out for a good reason. It's a small, compact tool that delivers microcurrent, red light, blue light, infrared light, deep cleansing, and hot-and-cold ring treatments. This tool allows you to target specific, concentrated areas and take it on the go.
