Welcome back to Fashion Bulletin, a weekly column where Coveteur's senior fashion editor, Ella O’Keeffe, recaps all the buzzy industry news you from the week.

This week, Swifties everywhere collectively had their worlds turned upside down with the news of her engagement to Travis Kelce. Group chats filled with heterosexuals were flying off the handle (presumably), publicists rejoiced, and Ralph Lauren had a blowout day of sales for the singular dress that Swift wore in her engagement photos, which sold out within an hour of the news breaking.

The site crashed temporarily as a result, just as I’m sure Swifites did the day after her engagement was revealed. In all seriousness though, I’m happy for Swift and Kelce, and looking forward to being a spectator for what will likely be the American equivalent of the royal wedding.

Miley Cyrus Fronts The First Celebrity Maison Margiela Campaign

Big week for the pop stars! Miley Cyrus has debuted Margiela’s first ever celebrity-starring campaign in 40 years of the brand for Fall 2025. Lensed by Paolo Roversi, the singer poses nude save for some licks of white body paint and a pair of boots in one image. Elsewhere, she wears looks from the Fall 25 collection. Cyrus’ partnership with the brand began in 2023, and she has been working looks into her on and off-duty style since. "The nudes by Paolo are so iconic and signature to his art. Standing naked for a fashion campaign felt major, all I wore was body paint and the signature painted Tabi boots. In that moment, Margiela and I became one," she said of the campaign. While the images are beautiful, there have been some die-hard Margiela fans questioning if the move to feature a celebrity feels off brand for the house. Understandably so. But brands will always evolve with the times, and lucking Glenn Martens has proved he’s up to the task from a design perspective.

Stars are flocking to Venice this week as the 82nd Annual Venice Film Festival kicks off. Emma Stone has already drawn plenty of attention for her new Yorgos Lanthimos film, “Bugonia”, but elsewhere, Dior Ambassador Alba Rohrwacher wears a custom design by Jonathan Anderson for the premiere of ‘Jay Kelly, marking one of the first previews we’ve seen of Anderson’s womenswear work at the house. She attended the photo call in a silk pleated butter yellow top and smart, tailored trousers in Dior grey. Later that evening, the actor stepped onto the red carpet in a royal blue draped long-sleeve gown with a half crinoline to create a dramatic bustle. Let me just say: Thank god.

Alaïa’s Summer-Fall 2025 Campaign Arrives

Pieter Mullier’s Alaïa Summer-Fall 2025 campaign has arrived starring Loli Bahia and Nastassia Legrand. Lensed by Tyrone Lebon on the northern shores of France, specifically between Cap Blanc-Nez and Cap Gris-Nez, the landscape provides the backdrop to a cinematic series of black and white images in which the models wear looks from the brands Fall 2025 runway collection.

“The Summer Fall 25 campaign mirrors what lies at the core of Alaïa: how history and historicity can be used to create something timeless. And profoundly modern.” A press release read.

Ssense Files For Bankruptcy Protection

Brace yourselves, e-girls and boys. Your favorite ecommerce retailer Ssense has filed for bankruptcy protection, the company announced on Thursday. According to reports, the company is filing an application with Canada’s Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act, similar to filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in the US. The Canadian retailer is reportedly facing the effects of the tariffs, and the filing comes after Ssense’s primary lender placed the company under CCAA protection, triggering a sales process “without our consent”, according to an Ssense spokesperson via Vogue Business. “We are deeply disappointed in this decision, which we believe does not serve the long-term interests of our 1,000+ employees, vendors and partners,” the spokesperson said. “We will be filing our own CCAA application to safeguard the company, retain control of our assets and operations and fight for the future of this business.”
