Right now, the US Open is the biggest stage. From monumental matches to photo-worthy signature cocktails we've all been eyeing from afar (our desks), wishing we could be sitting in the sun in Queens, New York, sporting our best tennis-inspired looks, while sipping and snapping pics of the Honey Deuce.
For our favorite players, tennis is, of course, the number one priority. But looking good while playing might just be a close second. While stepping onto one of the the world's biggest tennis stages is an opportunity for them to show off their skills and remind everyone that they deserve to be there, it's also an opportunity to get creative and display their personal style. From bubble skirts to embellishments, fashion is alive and well at the US Open, and the show has just begun. From Venus Williams' custom Luar set to Naomi Osaka's Labubu sidekick, these are the best on-court looks at the US Open so far.

The theme of Naomi Osaka's look August 24th look was red embellishments. She stepped onto the Billie King Court in an ensemble that both embraced tried and true tennis fashion concepts and turned those concepts on their head. In lieu of crisp whites and neutrals, Osaka went for a bold, statement-making red. Embellished red, at that. Her red cropped Nike zip up is embellished to the brim, matching her red embellished Beats headphones and red rose embellished headpiece that her and her stylist came up with just weeks ago. Osaka reaffirmed that bubble skirts will always be cool, and that a Labubu, especially one that complements your look and is essentially your mini-me, is the best court-side companion.

For Naomi Osaka, the embellished looks don't stop. In her notable match against Coco Gauff, Osaka wore a custom purple Nike dress embellished with Swarovski crystals and with a bubble hem.

For the Stars of the Open exhibition match on August 21st, Venus Williams showed out in a custom Luar set. The all black look featured a zip up jacket with stitching and button details and an asymmetric pleated skirt. This moment served as a remind that an all-black look is always a good idea, even when playing tennis in the summer sun.

Venus Williams' custom ERL look ticked all of the tennis fashion rule boxes: white, simple, classic, sleek, and collared. It was Willilams' accessory that really cemented this look's place on this list: a cream faux fur racquet bag.
For Venus Williams, the custom looks just don't stop. Using each match as her own personal fashion show, Williams recently showed up on the court in a custom, embellished (with both studs and hoops) red satin Phillip Lim bomber jacket. And then she proceeded to win her doubles match.
For her mixed doubles match, Venus Williams collaborated with luxury brand Khaite on this classic look. A cap-sleeved navy blue tennis dress with white trim is simple but gets the job done.

For one of many of Venus Williams' notable fashion moments on the court, she tapped Emilio Pucci for a custom dress in their signature "Labrinto" print with a scalloped hem and a matching visor.

Jessica Pegula tapped into Y-3's new tennis collection for her doubles match with Jack Draper on August 20th. She paired a Y-3 visor with a white quarter-zip Y-3 tennis dress that would be simple if it were not for the watercolor motif on the side.
Taylor Townsend
Taylor Townsend made the ultimate serve: wearing her own clothing line on one of the world's biggest stages. The phoenix-inspired kit is representative of Townsend's tennis journey and her fiery talent on the court.
