Found: 12 Sweater Vest and Bralette Combos We’re Living in This Fall
Consider us uniform ready.

It's safe to say that sweater bralettes have been on our radar since that faithful day in 2019 when Katie Holmes stepped out in Khaite's matching cashmere bra and cardigan set. Fast forward two years to 2021's fall RTW collections and you'll quickly see how the style has evolved.
For sweater vests, in particular, the Autumn/Winter shows brought a fresh take on a style once reserved for private schools and grandpas. At Veronica Beard, chunky fishermen-style knits were paired with oxfords to perfectly compliment the brand's elevated classic styles. While the look at Jason Wu was a bit more modern and sleek and seen paired with silk skirts and wide-calf boots.

But the shows were just the start. The summer to follow brought sweater vests in soft pastels colors and light fabrics, and the reign of the sweater bralette. Now that the days are *finally* getting cooler, so is the idea of knitted vests and bralettes. For fall we're looking to ribbed knit bras to pair under boxy blazers, and cozy vests in oversized styles. The juxtaposition of hard vs soft, or fitted vs free, just feels like the perfect balance of style.
