Fall Is All about the Neon Eye Moment—Here’s How to Recreate It
Time to place your black eyeliner aside.

Reflecting on this past Fashion Month, there were countless trends that were high-impact. From shaggy pastel hair cuts to all-over gloss, the striking looks left little to be desired. But the season's most memorable trend was the bold and saturated neon eye. The electric hues came in the form of sharp liners, disco-inspired cat eyes, and strategically-placed vibrant shadows.
Ahead, we break down the top three neon eye makeup trends that you should place at the top of your beauty to-do list this fall.

Keep the base of your look radiant and your lips dewy, then swipe on a vibrant orange liner for a head-turning finishing touch.
To create this look for Chloé's spring 2022 runway show, makeup artist Hannah Murray used a thin eyeliner brush. Start with the inner corners, skip over your lash line, then extend the color past your brows. And speaking of brows—fluff them up with a tinted gel to add structure and shape to your look.

Think of this shadow as a well-placed accent accessory for your eye. To bring this look to life, makeup artist Sil Bruinsma applied a pigmented cream shadow with a fluffy eyeshadow brush, then placed the color onto the inner and outer corners of the eye.
Set the look with a matte powder in the same shade as your original cream shadow. Finish off with a few coats of mascara to boost the impact of the bold wash of color.

If you're searching for a bright and playful eyeshadow look that leans more extra than subtle, you've found your match. From the lime-green winged eye to the golden green shimmer to the turquoise liner, a multitude of shades are layered on top of one another to create a dramatic effect.
After the multilayer wing was defined, makeup artist Pat McGrath pressed MTHRSHP Mega: Celestial Odyssey Eyeshadow in Citrine Envy onto the lids to give them an otherworldly glow.
