Between the year-over-year déjà vu and the impossibility of sleeping in, Mother’s Day will never fully live up to its expectations. The brunch will be nice but chaotic–and the kids won’t color, but scribble, their cards. Between the logistics and the lead-up, it will all be over in a flash. So, while Mother’s Day is always nice, the gifts make it memorable. This year, I’m thinking about the classic gifts that will last through and beyond next year’s special day.
