The Luxury Gifts We’re Coveting This Holiday Season
A glimpse of our staffers’ highly indulgent holiday wish lists.

The holidays are a time for indulgence. As we’ve all worked very hard this year, the concept of self-gifting sounds rather intriguing, and ironically, most of these items are smarter investments than one would think when you consider the cost-per-wear ratio. For example, if you buy a CHANEL bag today, you’ll likely never replace it. We’ve asked our staffers to reveal the luxury items on their wish lists this holiday season—emphasis on the wish—and the results range from Celine handbags to Van Cleef & Arpels jewelry. Happy shopping, indeed.

Large Frivole Clip Pendant
The Frivole design by Van Cleef & Arpels is one of my absolute favorites—it somehow manages to blur the line between timeless and oh-so modern. So, this season, I’m treating myself to this oversized pendant that feels incredibly high impact and will make such a statement with even the simplest of looks.
Kelly Handbag Noir Ardennes with Gold Hardware
Timeless and foreverrrr—that’s all. I’ve been on the hunt for a Kelly bag in black with gold hardware for some time. Its wearabilty with practically everything from loungewear to eveningwear means I can also justify the price by amortizing its cost over more wears than a seasonal handbag purchase. Absolutely zero downside here.
Skin Caviar Luxe Cream
The gold standard in skin care! I love this luxe cream so very much, and unlike some pricey products where it’s all about packaging and marketing, this product really works. It’s amazing in the winter when your skin feels extra dry from the elements, incredible as a rich night cream, and also amazing for a little extra dewiness under makeup. Truly perfection.

Twill Trench Coat
The perfect essential trench—of amazing Polo Ralph Lauren quality—is a must-have in the effort to reach peak ’70s style. I’m loving the attention to detail and the leather-covered buckles.
Leather Shoulder Bag
I am extremely here for the return of baguette shoulder bags, and this one is my number one dream. Super chic and classic!
20th Century Cabin Trunk
I’m in love with the idea of a vintage LV trunk as a coffee table, and this one has the most stunning wooden and brass detailing and so much history.

Check Mohair Wool Blanket
For the logo lover in your life whose home is meticulously designed, you cannot go wrong with this chic (and practical) wool-blend throw.
Classic 55cm Aluminium Carry-on Suitcase
As someone who almost always refuses to check a bag no matter the length of a trip, a sturdy carry-on suitcase is crucial. This option from Rimowa is not only sleek, it is also incredibly well made and lightweight which makes for the perfect carry-on for any trip.
David Hockney. A Bigger Book
I mean, what better way to make a statement in your home than to prop this ginormous book up in the corner of a room and casually flip through more than 60 years of work by David Hockney? The Taschen Sumo Books are truly an immersive experience and Hockney’s captivating work, complimented by the colorful stand, makes the most incredible gift for any art lover or collector in your life.

Decouverte Ankle Boots
I can’t explain it but these Hermès boots just exude confidence. They’re elegant but edgy and the low heel makes them functional, too. I also love the subtle Collier de Chien detail—I think that’s what makes them a classic gift or holiday-worthy self-purchase.
Horizon 55 Titane
When I daydream about my next adventures, this titanium carryon is always in tow. It would look just as perfect in Aspen as it would in Napa and owning it would inspire me to plan more than one impromptu getaway in 2022. As a bonus, I’d even stop complaining about carrying my suitcase—I wouldn’t even let my friends roll this beauty on my behalf.
Medium Triomphe Bag
My luxe wishlist would also never be complete without Celine. My Celine tote might be my favorite bag of all time and it’s undoubtedly ready to meet its baby sister. Enter: the Triomphe shoulder bag. Forgive me while I drool over its gold buckle, lifeproof canvas, and expandable compartments.

Dottie Tartan Upcycled-wool Jacket
There’s no better closet investment than a great new coat, and if it’s plaid then consider me sold. My trigger-happy hands have been dying to add this to cart but my bank account will thank me later. Luckily the holidays are right around the corner…mom, are you reading this?
Two Tone Cashmere Throw
I’m a sucker for a cashmere throw (who isn’t?), and this one from Saved NY has been haunting me for months. I am about to move into a new apartment, and this would be the perfect cozy addition to any sofa or the foot of the bed. It’s also reversible, so it’s basically two throws in one.
Custom Senior Cord Trousers
These have been on my list for the last three years—I love a fun pant in the winter and Emily Bode creates a little bit of magic with every one of her pieces. Her ‘Senior Cords’ collection is all customizable, and you fill out a short survey on your likes and interests to help guide their artists on what to draw.

Button Jacket
I think this Loewe jacket has one of the most beautiful, timeless silhouettes I’ve seen in a while. I’m already picturing it with everything from midi dresses to jeans and tees. In an ideal world, I’d be adding to my closet this season, but keeping it in my rotation forever.
Perriand All Day Bag
If you are unfamiliar with the brand Métier, I implore you to indulge in a perusal through their online offering. Founder Melissa Morris has created highly intuitive designs—every aspect of the leather goods serves a distinct purpose. Not to mention, the aesthetics are sumptuous, as well.
Salby Layered Tulle Skirt
One of my favorite ways to waste a Saturday afternoon is clicking through old Dries Van Noten collections on Vogue Runway, perhaps even while watching his documentary—I’m admittedly a devout enthusiast. One of the best pieces currently available, in my opinion, is this frothy tulle confection. Sure, I’d wear it at holiday parties, but nothing is stopping me from donning this statement piece pretty much anywhere else.

Hand-blown Color Glass Cake Stand
If you have a baker in your circle of friends (for my friends, that’s me), a piece by Estelle is such a special gift. I love all the soft pastel colors in this hand-blown glass line—each one makes me wish for a Nancy Meyers movie kind of kitchen to put them on display, instead of the small studio one I’m currently working with. And if your friends are more of store-bought-dessert people, opt for Estelle’s stemware.
19 Handbag
Can you even go wrong when gifting Chanel? I think not. And when it comes to the brand’s most classic handbag styles, this soft green color is especially speaking to me. It’s refreshing, an unexpected alternative to classic black, and will be a piece to treasure for years to come.
Shearling Hiking Boots
Cozy, practical winter boots are kind of an obvious holiday gift, but few are as good as these Proenza Schouler ones. They’re the perfect balance of chunky, functional, and warm, but they’re also super sleek—something I’d style with jeans, dresses, and, sure, a hiking ensemble should the occasion call for it.
