Fresh off the release of “First Class,” the second single from his upcoming album Come Home the Kids Miss You (out May 6), Jack Harlow attended last night’s Met Gala sporting a Givenchy dark chocolate brown suit with his signature curls. Makeup artist Fitch Lunar says the suit was the inspiration behind Harlow’s beauty look. “The most important part of any outfit is confidence,” Lunar says. His goal was to emulate Harlow’s confidence through an effortless beauty look. “Nailing a red carpet look starts with a strong skin-care base that provides both skin-care and cosmetic treatment."

So, while the suit was the focal point of the look, Harlow’s fresh and dewy visage pulled everything together. “For Jack, I start with YSL Beauty’s Pure Shots Perfect Plumper Face Cream to help stimulate collagen and prevent [the] appearance of fine lines and wrinkles,” says Lunar. “It also leaves [behind] a fresh finish and provides deep hydration.”
Next, Lunar applied YSL Beauty’s Nu Bare Look Tint. “It’s a lightweight tint with hyaluronic acid and buildable coverage for a fresh complexion,” explains Lunar. “It keeps the skin hydrated, and it really helped Jack glow when he hit the red carpet.”
Before Lunar sent Harlow off to the Met Gala, he added a spritz of YSL Beauty’s Y Eau de Parfum—a sensual woody cologne described by Lunar as “the sexiest smelling fragrance.” Extremely fitting, if we do say so ourselves.
