Each season a new footwear mood is captured, and it usually reflects the wider trends that are taking place both on and off the runway. This fall, plenty of trends are slated that call for a footwear transition, too, as the temperature cools down. Art Deco silhouettes have meant an increase in t-strap pumps, while an emphasis on texture is giving freaky summer naked shoes a run for their money, and casual is so back with the various slippers we’ve been seeing in Fall/Winter 2026 collections.
It may feel early to start considering fall footwear, and we have a little way to go, but there are plenty of transitional styles emerging before we enter full boot territory, like the pumps at Chanel or the slippers at Miu Miu.
