For over a year, we've admired Dua Lipa's thick, gold engagement ring from afar with absolutely no context as to where it's from and who's behind the design. Now, thanks to the jewelry brand's Instagram post congratulating Lipa after her wedding, we finally have answers and can give credit where credit is due.
Lipa's non-traditional, bespoke engagement ring featuring a sunken round brilliant-cut diamond in chunky 18K gold band was designed by Milan-based fine jewelry house Eéra. For Lipa, who is no stranger to chunky gold pieces and maximal jewelry, the ring blends seamlessly with her style—this is all to say that her now husband, Callum Turner, chose wisely.
Founded by Chiara Capitani and Romy Blanga, all Eéra pieces are handmade in Vicenza, an Italian city known as the “Gold Capital of Italy” and globally recognized as a powerhouse for jewelry making. Aside from rings, their offerings include geometric earrings, initial necklaces, pearl bracelets, and jumbo cuffs. And, her engagement ring wasn’t the first piece Dua Lipa owned from the brand.
We’ve noticed more and more celebrities embracing non-traditional engagement ring styles as of late, whether it be in terms of band size, color, or diamond cut, and it has truly felt refreshing. Rather than following the status quo of what one imagines an engagement ring is supposed to look like, couples are prioritizing personal style and individuality.
