This summer was all about the relatively short, ultra-chunky beaded necklaces. Fashion girls from New York City to Copenhagen styled them with basic tees and already maximal looks alike, reigniting a love for the jewelry that we loved—and would make with our own two hands—as children. Now, Celine's Spring/Summer 2027 runway presented us with the mature, grown-up beaded necklace.
Celine's runway was filled with lots of fashion reminders—and, despite it being a SS27 collection, many of the lessons shared apply to fall, too. Blazers that toed the line between perfectly oversized and perfectly tailored reminded us of the power of suiting, trousers that were distinguishably high-waisted reminded us that the silhouette has a time and place, and monochrome moments reminded us that staying one note is not always a negative thing. Still, amongst it all, we couldn't help but focus our attention on the necklaces.

It's often daintier than the chunky beaded necklace we wore throughout the summer, but sometimes it's somewhat chunky because the grown-up beaded necklace isn't afraid to embrace a childlike whimsy from time to time.
On Celine's Spring/Summer 2027 runway, a strong case was made for this necklace's versatility. It was paired with buttoned-up but laid-back monochrome jacket and trouser sets, and with a silky black blouse and silky blue pants for a going-out look.
