Amazon Prime's Off Campus offered a few key takeaways that remain true: men who yearn are so back, 2026 has been the year of the hockey romance genre, and Belmont Cameli is the heartthrob of the moment—and truly sets the bar for curly hair everywhere. It's not surprising that Cameli, whose curly hair certainly elevated his character's heartthrob hockey player status, has taken on this as his latest endeavor: the official face and star of TRESemmé's "Hot Curl Summer" campaign.

While we all patiently await season 2 of Off Campus and can’t wait to get back to squealing and kicking our feet on our couches, we caught up with Belmont Cameli at TRESemme’s pop-up event in Domino Park about how he maintains his curls on the daily, the book that is currently challenging him, the foods and beverages that make up his perfect day, and the anonymous people he has to thank for his personal style.

What's your star sign and do you relate?

"I'm a Pisces. And yes, I have the same birthday as a few people in my life, and I relate to them—they're awesome. I know that it's a water sign, which makes sense because I love water and I love fish and I like to swim."

How would you describe your personal style in three words?

"I would say baggy, old, and swaggy. [Right now] I'm wearing vintage pants and cowboy boots."

Who are your style inspirations?

"Honestly, my style is inspired by all the people who donated their clothes to Goodwill at one point or another, because those are the clothes that I'm wearing usually. I don't know who you are, but thank you for your shirts and pants."

What's the last thing you wrote in your Notes app?

"Oh, it was probably just notes I was taking during a meeting. They're probably pretty unintelligible. And honestly, I don't know if I'll even go back and look at them, but it felt productive to write something down."

Do you have any tips for maintaining your curls?

"I use a bonnet when I'm being responsible, and that's really cute. But that's not always. A lot of times, whatever's happening [with my hair] is kind of just what's happening. And then when I need to go out into the world, I hit my TRESemmé Bouncy Curls routine, and I look presentable."

What has been entertaining you lately?

"I'm listening to a lot of Ocean Alley right now, which is a great band. They have a new album out, and I love their stuff. I just started Killing Eve on Netflix with Sandra O—she's exceptional. And this is a Phoebe Waller-Bridge show. I can't say enough good things about it. It's been out for a while, but I'm getting into it for the first time now. I also just started a Thomas Pynchon book, The Crying of Lot 49. It's extremely challenging. It's above my reading level, but I'm doing my best."

What's a skill you're secretly working on?

"I'm always working on a little something, something. Right now, it's dance. I've been really dancing quite a bit lately. In my personal life and in my professional life, I'm fucking grooving."

Do you believe in manifestation? If so, what are you manifesting for the rest of 2026?

"Yeah, I think I do believe in manifestation. I also believe in visualization, which is essentially the same thing. I'm a big visualizer. I'm visualizing a good eight hours of sleep and some quality time spent with my family and friends."

Can you describe your perfect day?

"I start with a big breakfast at a diner where I eat four eggs and sourdough toast and smoked salmon and avocado and sausage and bacon and a smoothie and coffee and water. Then I'm going to go home and digest and read a book for like an hour and a half. Then I'll probably hang out with my friends, and I'll probably go outside and spend the rest of the day outside playing sports or walking around. And then I'll do my nighttime routine and go to sleep."
