We’ve Never Seen a Makeup Product Quite Like This New Eyeshadow

Kosas’ latest release is shaking up our beauty game.

kosas ten second eyeshadow

We already know and love a range of eyeshadow formulas—classic powder, creamy tint, high-shine gloss. But burgeoning beauty powerhouse Kosas just dropped a new product that has us rethinking everything we assumed this type of makeup could be. The new 10-Second Eyeshadow is a water-based pigment that mimics the effect of a watercolor painting for a wash of color across the lid that is seriously pretty.

The eight shades range from a brilliant gold to an on-trend lavender and come with a doe-foot applicator (although we prefer to blend it out with our finger). After shaking up the mixture in its packaging—thereby mixing the pigment with the surrounding orange flower water—you simply swipe it on and tap it out to either edge of your lash line. It dries down in roughly 10 seconds and is easily buildable as long as you allow the first coat to properly set. We found that using a thin layer of translucent powder helped to keep the product from creasing over the course of a day. So if you crave a pop of color but don’t want to spend your morning applying a perfect smokey eye, this is going to become your new go-to. Just wake up, channel your inner Van Gogh, and run out the door.

10-Second Eyeshadow is available today, July 17, on kosas.com and retails for $28.
