With brands like Stella McCartney, Moda Operandi, and Céline on his résumé, Vincent Ho has been a fashion insider since the beginning of his career. He now works for budding label Peter Do, alongside friend and Coveteur alum Jessica Wu. We took a look into his closet and found a veritable rainbow wonderland, which included an extra-large pink Balenciaga City Bag, a CHANEL holographic Boy Bag, and the only pair of heels from the Alexander McQueen S/S 2010 runway owned outside of the brand archives. Yeah, he’s that good at uncovering sartorial treasures. Even if you don’t have the means to purchase a piece of fashion history, there are still many style lessons to be learned from his Dries Van Noten and Balenciaga-filled closet. Check out some of Ho’s styling tips below.
1. Polka Dots Will Always Be In Style
Ho is definitely partial to patterns, particularly when it comes to polka dots. They’re a great starting point if you want to dip your toe in the power-clashing pool or accent your favorite minimalist pieces. Make basic jeans pop with a polka-dot-patterned button-down, or go for the flirty dotted skirt for that brunch next Saturday.
2. Leather Jackets Are Your Best Friend
Whenever fall comes around, the reign of the leather jacket begins. Take a cue from Ho’s closet, and invest in a staple black leather jacket—you will never, ever regret it. If traditional black isn’t your thing, go for a fuchsia stunner or accent it all with some faux fur cuffs.
3. Shine Bright in Holographic Accessories
As Ho told us, his friends have coined his personal brand as “rainbow THOT” for a reason. With his love of colorful and sparkly accessories, he’s inspired us to add a holographic item or two to our closets. Try a cropped jacket, or, if you’re really dedicated, an investment piece from CHANEL.
