What does orange silk, designer heels, sparkly accessories, and late-night snacks have in common? The love of Sofia Richie. Monday night, Richie and stylist Kollin Carter noshed on gooey grilled cheese and french fries as they tried on two different looks: a floor-grazing tuxedo-tailed Ashi white jumpsuit, and a Nicolas Jebran orange silk slip dress and blazer set for Richie’s appearance at Bergdorf Goodman Wednesday evening. The special occasion? The launch of Richie’s three-piece capsule collection with glitzy handbag brand Marzook.

Richie and Carter went back and forth on the looks, finally deciding that the white Ashi jumpsuit would be the perfect ensemble for the model ’s stop at Tiffany & Co.s earlier in the day; and the orange Nicolas Jebran was more evening. In Carter’s words, the orange was “sexy, but not too sexy. Just sexy enough.” Agreed! As Carter did a few final adjustments, we chatted with both him and Richie about how they started working together (Monday was their first time!), how Richie’s capsule collection came to be, and the one thing she always brings to an event.
