We’ve been waiting with bated breath, and alas...it’s happening! The Met Gala is officially underway (just 4.6 miles uptown from Coveteur HQ, but who’s counting), and the looks are very, very good, guys. This year’s theme, “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination,” has made for an arrivals carpet replete with couture angel wings, jewel-encrusted headpieces, and pops of Cardinal red. Thus far we’ve seen Sarah Jessica Parker in Dolce & Gabbana, Jennifer Lopez in Balmain, and the undisputed queen of the Met Gala—her royal fashion highness Rihanna—in bedazzled, Pope-inspired Maison Margiela. And there’s still so much more to come.
