And releases a limited collection of sweatshirts we’re dying to call our own.
Christopher Kane’s namesake brand (he of the embellished Crocs, trashbag-inspired, plastic bonnet styling glory—his *thing* is finding inspiration in the unexpected) is officially turning ten, and to celebrate, the designer has released a limited collection of sweatshirts bearing some of the brand’s most iconic prints. Everything from that SS ‘09 chimp, AW ‘10 florals, and the SS ‘14 botanical print will be on offer starting today, so if you missed your chance purchasing these bad boys the first time around, now’s your golden opportunity.
“We wanted to celebrate some of our most iconic and popular prints with the ten capsule, and felt the sweatshirt is something you can wear with anything,” said Kane. “There was a lot of debate with my studio team over which prints to choose, but in the end it was very easy; each print means something to me.It was very emotional to see how they have evolved over time, and felt wrong at times to pick one over the other.”
Obviously, we want all of them, but we’re especially torn between the chimp and the Frankenstein—either would make a delightful upgrade to the raggedy hoodie we usually wear on days following a Coveteur team-building Karaoke bender, and would also aptly represent our feelings on said hungover days.
