We’re not exactly the paparazzi type, but we have to admit to chasing down a few select people for a photo op. (See: Mr. Sheffield at Holt Renfrew.)
So after getting ready with the CEO of the CFDA, Mr. Steven Kolb and hanging with Cushnie et Ochs and Karlie Kloss, we jetted over to the Lincoln Centre’s Alice Tulley Hall to join the mob of cameramen. While Jake blended in amongst “his people,” – oversized Nikon snapping away – We (Erin and Steph) walked the red carpet alongside some very familiar faces: Tabitha Simmons, Hilary Rhoda, Yigal Azrouël and Irene Neuwirth (with Kate Mara!), Everyone had someone on their arm: Donna Karan brought the Olsens (Mary-Kate and… Elizabeth!), Riccardo Tisci brought Jessica Chastain (in Givenchy, duh!) and Creatures of Comfort brought Dree Hemingway.
Amongst the chaos of frantic photogs screaming, “Look here! Look here!,” we managed to snap a few special moments: Bill Cunningham bowing at the foot of his subject, Jourdan Dunn taking (what looked like) a very important phone call, Michael Kors grinning like a Cheshire Cat with Karolina Kurkova and Cody Horn and clique of Victoria’s Secret Angels (namely, Alessandra Ambrosio, Lily Aldridge and Adriana Lima).
Even if you didn’t get that coveted golden red ticket, you can still live vicariously through us, right?
