One scroll through Camila Coutinho’s Instagram and you can only begin to imagine how many frequent flyer miles the model and influencer racks up in the span of a year, or heck, even a month. In the past two weeks alone she’s been in Brazil, Texas, and Australia. Luckily, stars aligned for us when we found ourselves in Coutinho’s hometown of São Paulo at the same time she was settling into her new apartment in the heart of Brazil’s bustling city.
Coutinho’s new apartment had real Brazilian charm with honey-colored wooden walls and massive windows that overlooked the building’s luscious garden, filled with palm trees and philodendrons (fun fact: Coutinho actually had to bring all of her furniture in through those same windows). We beelined it straight to the back of her place, where the walk-in closet was waiting for us in all its glory. Floor-to-ceiling shelves housed the most amazing Prada slingbacks, Louis Vuitton boots, and Christian Louboutin heels; directly adjacent, rows of floor-length Gucci gowns and colorful DVF dresses hung. Endless amounts of Helmut Lang denim jackets and Levi’s jeans, Givenchy and Les Specs sunglasses, and handbags from pretty much every designer ever (think Dior, Waiwai, Alexander Wang, Dolce & Gabbana) took up the remaining real estate.
Coutinho is a prime example of someone having one hell of a good time playing with their wardrobe. As we hung CHANEL jackets off her microwave and Yael Sonia jewelry off the bathroom sink, we made mental notes to get a little more daring with our own almost all-black closet. So if you see us in the near future in blue jackets or forest green heels, you know who we have to thank for the inspiration.
