There is an unmatched thrill we get from scouring the globe in search of an inimitable style. Like discovering a sartorially savvy, insanely cool consummate of Argentinian style Agustina “Guti” Marzari Bobbio, or as her thousands of Instagram followers know her as, @imqueena_. The Buenos Aires native’s knack for masterfully mixing high and low brands comes from the sociological challenges that make it difficult to access international fashion designers. But you’d never know it by looking at her. She had to get savvy and stocked up on Gucci and Loewe during her travels to mix in with her local Argentinian designer finds and Zara staples.
We got to witness her smart styling firsthand when we entered her home (she’s since relocated to New York for big, big things!) and watched her knot an Ay Not Dead blouse to pair with sandblasted trousers, and quick-change into a cropped yellow top, patchwork denim, and *those* Balenciaga booties to show us just how far her sartorial sense spans. As we arranged her JW Anderson and Off-White Paperclip bags and Prada brogues, and found a peppering of CHANEL to perch on a fireplace, we talked about the unexpected time her golden retriever Aldo’s birthday video went viral (we’ll wager a Céline clear bag you’ve seen it), what makes Buenos Aires special, and what’s next for her as she takes on the Big Apple.
