5 Outfits We Would Actually Wear From the Critics’ Choice Awards
No acting skills required whatsoever.

Another award show, another series of extremely fancy dresses we wish we had a reason to wear. We won’t let anything get in the way of our sartorial wanderlust though, which is why we’re looking for ways to recreate our favorite Critics’ Choice Awards looks in a way that won’t have people wondering where we’re going (hint: nowhere, really). Here are the five looks we can’t stop thinking about and the pieces we’re buying to make them work off the red (well, actually blue) carpet.
Angelina Jolie
It’s hard not to be reminded of the pink Prada feathered goodness of Spring ’17 when looking at Jolie’s look last night. Although the feathered top looks more red carpet than everyday, we’d wear ours with a pair of combat boots to make the look less precious.
Patterned maxi dresses should not be stowed away in the closet for summer. A good long dress is the secret to looking put together in just one step. Plus, it works great over a pair of tights or thigh high boots.
This CHANEL dress is exactly what our dream fabric trifle would look like. And the unexpected velvet bow to tie Robbie’s hair back is the cherry on top.
Kate Bosworth
Bosworth’s Brock Collection lace dress is absolutely something we’d get married in. Wearing an all lace jumpsuit is a more casual alternative and if you’re not into all bridal white, go monochrome.
Greta Gerwig
With the embellished heart detail, this Fendi dress could have easily been written off as too sweet and maybe it’s just the fact that Gerwig is an actual angel, but this look just really suits her. Instead of finding a dress that’s this specific, we’d like to pair our favorite flowy dress with a statement necklace or thrown on a heart cut-out t-shirt with jeans for a more Lady Bird approved take.
