It’s clear by now that menswear isnt going anywhere anytime soon (why should it, really?), and it seems that brands are finally catching on to that. They’re also realizing that if they put as much time into creating high-quality, covet-worthy women’s pieces as they do with their mens, they can truly rule the world. The future is female, after all. One such brand to take on this mind-set is Kith (are you that surprised?). While founder Ronnie Fieg has offered Kith’s womenswear since 2015, in the past year the brand has catapulted forward with it, and we are not mad at that.

Their new SoHo flagship boutique has one floor (the third) now entirely dedicated to womenswear, selling Kith women alongside luxe brands like Helmut Lang, Stone Island, and Alix, with a healthy mix of your usual sports brands. Describing the Kith woman as “unique, tasteful, and worldly,” Fieg’s goal was “to create a space that is an extension of where our women’s business is headed,” he told us. “We’ve expanded our multi-brand apparel and accessories offerings, so it was important that we are able [to] properly exhibit this top-tier product in a way that is authentic to Kith’s DNA.” Not only does the floor also offer the latest and greatest in magazines and accessories, but they also sell vintage designer handbags—everything from Chanel to Gucci to Louis Vuitton. Talk about sport-chic.

It’s clear that Kith is headed in the right direction as Esther Joo, head of Kith’s women’s design, makes mention of a few well-known names sporting the gear: “I love seeing how Bella Hadid, Sofia Richie, and Karrueche Tran outfit our products in their everyday lives,” she tells us. “They’re all beautiful women, and everything looks so good on them! To be honest, though, it’s surreal whenever we see girls excited to wear Kith Women’s, whether it’s in real life or on IG.” And while Joo lets us know how important the womenswear line is to them, it’s those women at Kith who are at the forefront, bringing things together. “We want our products to speak to our female consumer,” she says. “There’s something empowering about being a woman in our male-dominated streetwear culture. All the women at Kith want our products to make the Kith girl feel confident.” Behind every great brand is a strong team, and the one Fieg and Joo have assembled is just that. “Finding the right people is something we pride ourselves on,” Fieg says. “No matter how different each of our employees are, they all fit the mentality of being an ambassador for our brand.” After being introduced to the ladies running Kith’s women’s floor, we couldn’t agree more. Click through below to meet them.

Meet Francy Bernard

“I would describe my style as cozy. Regardless of the occasion, one element I try to maintain is comfort.”

What has been the most surreal part of working at Kith?

“I picked up a love for visual merchandising. I thought it was something you needed a degree to do professionally, but I was determined to show that I am just as skilled as someone with a degree. My dedication to the craft was very obvious to everyone I worked around, and with time I became assistant visual merchandiser! If I hadn’t worked at Kith, I would’ve never discovered this talent and I wouldn’t have been blessed with this opportunity. I’m so grateful.”

What is the one sneaker that “got away”?

“The Kith x Aime Chelsea sneaker.”

Where can we find you on your day off?

“What I do on my days off depends on the weather. I’ve been going snowboarding every other week since it’s winter here. I also like to visit my nieces and nephews, or go out with my boyfriend. If not that, then I’m home recording videos for my YouTube channel.”

“The best advice I received from Ronnie is to be genuine to yourself.”

The one piece that you are currently coveting?

“I really want to get my hands on a pair of the Kith x Off White mountain boots. Those may be impossible to get, so if I can’t find them I’ll settle for the non-collab black pair.”

“I am proud to represent such a monumental brand. Kith has been on its way up since the beginning, and witnessing it is more than motivational for me.”

What is your favorite Kith women’s piece?

“The Kith Varsity Jacket. The quality is A1, and it comes in three perfect shades that complement the season, green being my fav.”

Meet Erika Riches

“My style is pretty masculine, but I always add a bit of femininity to every outfit. Gone are the days when tight-fitting and ultra-feminine styles make a woman sexy. I feel the sexiest with a giant men’s t-shirt paired with a pointed-toe boot.”

What has been the most surreal part of working at Kith?

“Opening up a three-story flagship store from start to finish.”

Where can we find you on your day off?

“Somewhere cozy, wearing a good outfit, with a drink in my hand.”

What is the best piece of advice Ronnie has ever given you?

“To aim for the best and only the best.”

What is one piece that you are currently coveting?

“The Martine Ali solid sterling silver XL Cuban Link Choker.”

What is your favorite Kith women’s piece?

Kith Amelie Boxing Trackpant.”

Meet Alani Figueroa

“I would describe my personal style as colorful, ever-changing, and bold.”

“The most surreal part of working at Kith is realizing how tight-knit our team is. We interact with our company buyers, creative directors, designers, visual merchandisers, etc., on a weekly basis. We engage with our company’s president all of the time, and even Ronnie himself is very heavily involved with the shop—the inclusiveness at Kith is truly surreal.”

What is the one sneaker that “got away”?

“The one shoe I so badly wanted and missed out on buying is definitely the Nike x Tom Sachs Mars Yard 2.0.”

Where can we find you on your day off?

“Either in a dance class, running errands, doing my nails, bike-riding, or shopping.”

What is the best piece of advice Ronnie has ever given you?

“The importance of incorporating timeless pieces into your closet as opposed to always being ‘trendy.’ Timeless pieces not only last longer, but they also elevate your look. You’ll always be one step ahead.”

“My favorite part about working for Ronnie and Kith is the permittance of creative freedom. Not many jobs will allow you to come to work dressed in a manner that most expresses you.”

What is your favorite Kith women’s piece?

“Our Alea one shoulder bodysuit.”

Meet Danielle Leguillou

“I would say my style is classy-meets-streetwear. I also love to piece together vintage gems with my outfits.”

“The most surreal part of working at Kith was moving into our new flagship store on Lafayette. Leaving the old store behind on Bleecker was so hard due to all the great memories we made there, but I am obsessed with the new store. It’s beautiful, and I’m extremely excited for all the new, fun memories we will all make there.”

What is the one sneaker that “got away”?

“I’m so upset I missed out on buying the Yeezy Wave Runners. At first glance, it wasn’t necessarily my go-to style, but it’s such a good shoe—the colors sure are lovely.”

Where can we find you on your day off?

“You can find me exploring new places on my days off—I love discovering cute new boutiques, thrift shops, bookstores, or any food or coffee spots. Or you can catch me in my apartment being a lazy bum, researching something for my creative work with a face mask on and a cup of some lovely moscato.”

“Best piece of advice Ronnie has ever given me is to always work hard. You want something? Then go hard for it, and don’t stop until you get it. Blood, sweat, and tears.”

“My favorite part about working for Ronnie and Kith is how much of a family we are. I don’t consider these people my coworkers, they’re my family. I truly enjoy coming into work. Ronnie is extremely involved in every aspect of the business and treats all his employees with love and respect.”

What is your favorite Kith women’s piece?

“I can’t just choose one item. I absolutely love the Kith Wylie One Shoulder Sweater Dress; it’s super elegant but very sexy at the same time. My other favorite is the Kith Carine Funnel Neck Top.”

Meet Dana DelMastro

How would you describe your style?

“Tomboy chic. I like to add a girly touch to masculine, oversized pieces.”

What has been the most surreal part of working at Kith?

“Being able to work so closely with people I look up to as inspirations is surreal every day. Working at Kith is way beyond a typical retail job—it’s being part of the culture; the ideas, art, and fashion make the brand what it is.”

What is the one sneaker that “got away”?

“The Shattered Backboard Air Jordan 1!”

Where can we find you on your day off?

“Either my bed all day being lazy, watching movies, or out shopping. There’s literally no in-between.”

What is the best piece of advice Ronnie has ever given you?

“Ronnie’s advice is always to stay true to ourselves and our own style, which is a message I think is important for everybody to hold on to.”

What is one piece that you are currently coveting?

“We just got in a piece by Unravel Project that I stare at every day. It’s a denim hybrid bomber jacket, and it is so good. The fit is different than a typical bomber—it’s slouchy, relaxed, and I absolutely need it!”

“My favorite part of working for Ronnie and Kith is having the ability to express my own style while learning, growing, and being exposed to the unique style of others. Being a part of this set is like nothing else.”

What is your favorite Kith women’s piece?

“The Kith Thalia Sherpa Hoodie. You can’t go wrong with that piece.”
