Zoë Kravitz Follows This Fashion Rule Every Time She Gets Dressed
We promise it’s a good one.

We tend to repeat the same sentence to ourselves (and everyone within earshot) every time we see a new photo of Zoë Kravitz: “Man, she looks great.” We can’t help but obsess over her new short platinum ’do. We love the confidence she exudes when she walks into a room. And we’d be lying if we said we didn’t frequently dream about raiding her wardrobe.
Now Zoë—who recently starred in Big Little Lies and will appear in the bachelorette party film Rough Night this summer—is summing up her aesthetic in Allure’s June issue, letting us in on the rules she follows every time she gets dressed.
“I’ve always liked contrasts, contradiction,” she told the publication. “I think too much of anything doesn’t work—like if everything you wear is expensive-looking, you look stale. And if everything you wear is ripped and falling apart, you look crazy.”
Most important, Zoë remembers to take practicality into account.
“I like when you can find a balance. I live in New York City. I walk around. I have to be comfortable. You don’t look cool or sexy if you’re uncomfortable; it’s not attractive.”
We couldn’t agree more.
