Getting Ready with Herizen Guardiola

Last night we stopped by singer, songwriter, *and* actress Herizen Guardiola’s suite at The Standard, High Line to play fly-on-the-wall as she prepped for the most fancy of events: The Guggenheim International Gala, where she was attending as a guest of Dior (again, the most fancy), the gala’s sponsor for the fourth year running.

While Guardiola got started on her hair (a super waved-out, voluminous, half up, half down situation) and makeup (smoked-out eyes, long mascara-coated lashes, and a nude lip) for the evening, we got to interviewing her (multitasking at its best). Her playlist of choice while this all went down? A mix of everything including a sneak peak of the spur-of-the-moment songs she only just recorded a couple hours ago—and some Rihanna for good measure. And her pre-party nosh? Everything from Pringles and Pirates Booty to Coca-Cola and Haribo—perks of a 20-year-old model metabolism, we guess.
