Yoonchae's life changed in 2023, when she was one of the six chosen to form the girl group Katseye on the reality competition show The Debut: Dream Academy. Since then, it's been festival performances at Coachella and Governor's Ball, Katseye's first world tour running through March 2027, and, of course, documenting it all on Instagram. It's been non-stop—so much so, that you might assume Yoonchae isn't looking to take on any new ventures. But think again. As of last week, Yoonchae is Dr.Jart+'s first-ever North American Brand Ambassador. This partnership, which feels like a match made in K-beauty heaven, was commemorated with an ethereal, girly campaign shoot that feels like a pastel dreamscape and futuristic fantasy. The campaign's hero product is the brand's iconic Premium BB Cream, a tour staple for Yoonchae and something she reaches for when she craves a pretty, natural glow. "I'll just add a little blush and lip color, and I'm ready to go!" she says. "It's perfect for days when I want to look cute but don't have a lot of time."
Despite the whirlwind of her life and the tour she's in the middle of, Yoonchae took the time to catch us up. Ahead, we chat about her tour skincare routine, her perfect day off, and how the EYEKONS still leave her in awe.

"My star sign is Sagittarius! To be honest, I don’t know that much about astrology, but Lara always tells me about it, so I’ve learned a little bit from her. I know Sagittarius is supposed to be adventurous, independent, and always open to trying new things, which I think I can relate to! But I’d say it’s probably half true and half not true, because I feel like everyone has different sides to their personality. So it’s fun to see which traits match me and which ones don’t!"
What color is your aura?
"I think my aura color would be pink because I feel like I have a warm and loving energy. I always want to spread positivity and make the people around me feel happy and comfortable."

"I would describe this chapter of my life in these three words: grateful, surreal, and growth."
What’s been the most surreal moment for you since debuting with KATSEYE?
"I think one of the most surreal moments for me is seeing the arenas completely filled with our EYEKONS during our Wild World Tour. Seeing so many people come together for us and hearing everyone sing our songs with us always gives me chills. It’s one of those moments where I look around and think, “Wow, this is really happening.” It makes me realize that a dream I’ve had since I was little is actually coming true, and it’s such a special feeling."

"Tour has been so much fun, but we're constantly traveling and wearing makeup for hours, so I've been trying to take extra good care of my skin! I always make sure to remove all my makeup at night, even when I'm super tired after a show. I've been loving my Dr.Jart+ Ceramidin Milky Toner and Moisturizing Cream because they help keep my skin hydrated, especially with all the traveling. What initially drew you to Dr.Jart+, and when did you realize the brand was a good fit for you?
"Growing up in Korea, skincare has always been a big part of my life, so getting to work with a Korean brand like Dr.Jart+ is really special to me! I love that the brand makes skincare feel fun and creative but also really focuses on taking care of your skin. My schedule with KATSEYE can get so crazy, so I love products that are easy to use and actually do multiple things at once. The Premium BB Cream is perfect for that because I can get that pretty, glowy skin while also getting skincare benefits. It just feels like such a natural fit for me, and I'm really excited to share some of my favorite products with everyone!"

"I think 'That Way' from the new Wild album would be the perfect getting-ready song! The beat isn’t too fast, and it has this really chill vibe while still putting you in a good mood. I feel like it’s the perfect song to have playing while getting ready!"
Can you describe your perfect day off with the other members?
"Sometimes, I go shopping with the other members, and it’s always so much fun! We’re all really interested in fashion and have different styles, so we can recommend clothes to each other and help each other pick out outfits. It’s fun to try different styles together, give each other opinions, and just enjoy shopping. And of course, ending the day by having some delicious food together would make it even more perfect!"
What do you want to be remembered for?
"I want to be remembered as someone who inspired people to challenge themselves, chase their dreams, and believe in themselves. I hope I can remind people to be confident in who they are, take risks, and never be afraid to step out of their comfort zone. I want people to know that if you believe in yourself and keep pushing forward, you can achieve so much more than you ever imagined."
