As someone who grew up during what I would describe as the golden age of reality TV, where shows like Laguna Beach, The Hills, and The City were the first of their form and would continue to influence pop culture years later, and who dreamed of working in fashion, I consider Whitney Port reality TV royalty. Beyond that, Port capitalized on the exposure that those MTV shows provided her with and used her platform to catapult what she had always wanted all along: a career in fashion and a life as entrepreneur.

One of her latest fashion endeavors, a collaboration with tennis lifestyle collection Courting, came about in a rather natural, serendipitous way: the brand's founder, Courtney Kelly, grew up with Port's husband. "We had always known each other and just naturally hit it off. Then one day, I saw her on the tennis court—we actually had the same coach—and we started talking more about what she was building with Courting. As she was telling me about it, I was like, wait… I want in," Port says. "It felt really aligned with what I love, and I genuinely wanted to help her build it and be part of it in a meaningful way."

The Courting x Whitney Port Capsule consists of pieces that can be thrown on without thought: mini tennis dresses, long sleeve graphic tees that Port loves pairing with sweatpants, bike shorts, and the occasional silk skirt, and more. "It’s very rooted in that 90s tennis energy I’ve always loved, but not in a costume-y way. It’s clean, slightly sporty, a little bit sexy, and really wearable," Port says. "There’s a mix of structure and softness, and we paid a lot of attention to fit so it actually works on real bodies."

As for the future of Port's collaborations with the brand, Port prefers that things don't feel overly rushed or pushed just for the sake of keeping up with the trend cycle—but, how she and Kelly can expand on what they've already created together has been considered. "There are a few categories we didn’t fully explore the first time around that I’d love to expand into," Port says. "And also refining some of the core pieces based on what people are actually wearing and loving."

As we patiently await the next drop, we'll be perusing the vintage stores that Port often awaits drops from and consuming the reality TV that allows her to unwind after a long day.

Where Are You From?

Whitney Port

"I’m originally from Los Angeles, and I’m still based there. It’s home for me in every sense."

What's Entertaining You?

Whitney Port

"Right now it’s a mix of very easy, escapist TV and a good book. I’ve been watching Summer House and The Real Housewives of Rhode Island, which are just… exactly what I need at the end of the day. And I’m reading 'The Last Thing He Told Me' by Laura Dave, which has been really engaging."

What's In Your Cart?

Whitney Port

"Honestly, nothing. I’m in a phase where I don’t really want things. I’m trying to be more thoughtful and a little more frugal, especially because I’d rather put that energy toward bigger-picture things, like a house. If anything, what I’d 'add to cart' right now are experiences: a facial, a massage, a mani-pedi. That’s what feels worth it to me at the moment."

What Are You Saving?

Whitney Port

"I’m really holding onto my timeless pieces. My vintage Levi’s that are perfectly tailored to me, a vintage Mugler jacket I love, things that just feel like they’ll never go out of style. And I recently got a vintage black Gucci bag with long black fringe from The RealReal that I’m very into. Those are the pieces I know I’ll keep reaching for."

What Are You Browsing?

Whitney Port

"I’m actually not much of an online browser. I much prefer going into shops and finding things in person. I love a good vintage store moment, and I get excited about vintage drops—especially from places like @soritevintage or @thevintagemarche. That kind of discovery feels way more inspiring to me than scrolling.
