Charli XCX's Acting Debut & Valentino Brings The Rockstud Back

Welcome back to Fashion Bulletin, a weekly column where Coveteur's senior fashion editor, Ella O’Keeffe, recaps all the buzzy industry news you from the week.
After a big week last week with plenty of things to address in the fashion news department— namely, Dario Vitale’s short-lived Versace stint and sudden exit—things are starting to wind down for the rest of the year. Not for Charli XCX though, whose upcoming lead role debut for the A24-produced “The Moment” will soon be on our screens, as confirmed by the first trailer which dropped yesterday.
Based on the seismic effect XCX’s seminal album had on the world, XCX plays herself in the film, which follows a fictionalized version of her summer 2024 blockbuster album as a mockumentary. Her tandem, undeniable effect on 2024’s fashion landscapes reflected in the film’s visuals. A24 has always been the fashion crowd’s favorite distributor so I’m anticipating that beyond some culturally apt satire, we’ll also have a feast for the eyes on our hands come January 30.Valentino Pre-Fall 2026 Arrives

For Valentino’s Pre-Fall 2026 collection, Alessandro Michele has finally taken on one of the house’s accessories giants: the Rockstud. Previously introduced when Pierpaolo Piccioli and Maria Grazia Chiuri were co-creative directors of the Roman house, Michele’s undertaking of the Valentino motif arrive as pointed-toe pumps with gold toe caps and skinny little flip flops. Am I about to become a Rockstud girl? Not no…AtMichele’s Valentino, the designer is practicing more restraint than we initially expected. While he’s definitely playing within his wheelhouse, there’s a level of refinement he offers at Valentino that feels slightly less maximalist than his time at Gucci.
Louis Vuitton’s Newest Ambassador Is Chase Infiniti

Elsewhere on the luxury front, Louis Vuitton this week announced American actor Chase Infiniti as their newest ambassador. Her recent red carpet appearances have seen Infiniti in various Louis Vuitton looks over the past few months. The highly coveted ambassadorship sees Infiniti join acclaimed actors like Cate Blanchett, Zendaya, and Jeremy Allen-White who already have contracts with the luxury French house. The young actor is set to star in “The Testaments,” Hulu’s highly anticipated sequel series to “The Handmaid’s Tale,” set to premiere in April, and was just in “One Battle After Another” where she was nominated in the breakthrough category at the Gotham Awards.
Beyoncé Is Joining The 2026 Met Gala Co-Chairs

The 2026 Met Gala exhibition theme was announced last month, titled “Costume Art”, and now the hotly anticipated co-chairs have been revealed. Joining Anna Wintour this year is Beyoncé, who hasn’t attended a Met Gala in a decade, alongside two fashion icons: Nicole Kidman and Venus Williams. Next year’s theme will explore the relationship between clothing and the body beneath. Any ideas on what Queen B will wear?
