As a V-Day apologist, I see this quintessentially cheesy Hallmark holiday as a respite from the otherwise dreary winter season, offering a welcome excuse for red lipstick, heart-shaped Reese’s, and expensive prix-fixe dinners—only to be made better by its often wine-fueled sister holiday of Galentine’s Day.
