For a summer vacation, you are either one of two people: an over-packer who takes up to three check-in luggages and ends up having a terrible time in transit with said luggage but excellent outfits to make it all worth it, or a lean packer who gets about easily but finds themselves pilfering the suitcases of their over-packing counterparts for something to wear by day 5. I am currently in camp b, having—for the first time ever—bravely packed only a carry on case for my two-week trip to Europe.
My logic was that generally I wear the same three cotton dresses on rotation, hardly wear makeup, and nowhere I go is actually fancy enough to warrant heels or a lot of evening wear. Not in a pick-me way (if that's the way it's interpreted, so be it!), just in a practical way.
Emancipating myself from check-in luggage has been deeply freeing, and also highly unnerving because I have indeed run out of looks, and there is no room to bring new looks back. A sacrifice has been made. A diva fallen. I digress. It's summer. We're going on vacation. Packing is difficult no matter the size or scale of your luggage. So below, the Coveteur editors are sharing what's on their packing list this summer.

Packing list:
Vix Paula Hermanny Elba Bodysuit + Vis Long Skirt
"Montauk calls for breezy fits that can transition from night to day. I wore this knitted set from Vix Paula Hermanny last weekend and it was the perfect outfit that worked for a breezy brunch at Surf Lodge to post-dinner drinks at Montauk Project. I love that it’s sheer, but not too sheer, and the bodysuit and skirt perfectly complement each other but can also be worn separately."
Vix Paula Hermanny Marbella Long Dress
"This dress looks formal and elegant at first glance, but is actually as comfortable as a sweatsuit (seriously). The linen material is incredibly soft, and the fit is breezy; the back is low and can be fastened multiple different ways, perfect for anyone who loves a “business in the front, party in the back” type of dress. I wore this to Gigi’s, the new restaurant at Gurney’s, and it was perfect for my sunset photos."
Vix Paula Hermanny Firenze One Piece
"I got so many compliments about this swimsuit during my weekend in Montauk. The cut is casually sexy, and the material feels stretchy and comfortable, but kept me sucked in where I wanted. It’s so flattering, I’d wear it as an every day bodysuit even though it’s technically a swimsuit."
"I’m going through a long necklace obsession and this shell tassel necklace from Julietta has been coming everywhere with me in my summer travels. It instantly levels up any outfit I’m wearing, whether it’s a floor length dress or white tank."

Location: Provence, France
Packing list:
Fruity Booty Broderie Mini Dress
"Most of my summer holidays are spent in a selection of white cotton items that I’ve been collecting since I was approximately 15 years old after watching Vicky Christina Barcelona and developing a crush on Penelope Cruz. I often shop vintage to find the perfect pieces, but this mini dress from Fruity Booty is just perfect. Sleep in it, wear it over your swimwear, wear it to the markets, to dinner…it will become your best friend very quickly."
Melissa X Diesel Quantum Flip Flop
"Melissa recently collaborated with Diesel, and I was lucky enough to receive a pair of the flip flops just a day before I left for France. I only packed these and I’m so glad I did. Not a blister in sight and I can walk across the pebbly grecian beaches without an issue."
"A diva moment was required for Europe this year, and what better way to express this than through oversized eyewear. This pair from Thistles is perfect, albeit sold out now that a certain Jenner has been photographed wearing them. Notifications on for when they are back in stock!"
Kala Herh, Social Strategy Lead
Location: Alaska, USA
Packing list:
Arcteryx Atom Hoody in Dynasty
"If there’s one layer I reached for every single day in Alaska, it was the Arcteryx Atom Hoody. It’s warm enough to handle those misty 50-degree mornings but breathable enough to keep on when the sun pops out. I wore it hiking, ATVing, even just wandering around town, and it kept me comfortable without ever feeling bulky."
Adidas x Wales Bonner Track Pants
"These adidas x Wales Bonner track pants are my secret travel weapon—equally perfect for long hikes and airport layovers. The tailored fit and cool retro details made me feel way more put-together."
"Rounding out my summer travelling essentials is the Supergoop Glowscreen, which is a sister product of the brand’s cult-favorite sunscreen, Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40. It gives me that perfect dewy, lit-from-within finish while still delivering all the SPF protection I’d need while on the trails."
Natasha Sheridan, Social Creative Lead
Location: Sardinia, Italy
Packing list:
"This was my ultimate beauty hack—perfect for those minimal makeup beach days when I still want some sun protection. It gives me an effortless, sun-kissed glow (a must for my pale skin), feels super lightweight, and has SPF 50+?! Will be repurchasing every summer."
Jean Paul Gaultier The Wood Scarf
"One thing about me: I’m packing a silk scarf. Whether it’s tied over my hat for a French-inspired, face-framing moment or wrapped around my hips in lieu of a belt, it’s the ultimate versatile piece—and it takes up zero space in my (very overpacked) suitcase."
"This is not a drill—the jelly shoe is officially back. I walked over 10k steps across Europe in these, and the compliments followed every step of the way."
Sierra Cook, Designer
Location: Puerto Vallarta, Mexico
Packing list:
"I never go anywhere without my Coach Demi Pochette. It’s perfect for when I want to carry light and just need something that’s big enough for the essentials: phone, keys, gloss, ID, credit card, contraceptive."
"I’m sensitive to smells, and this is one of the only perfumes I can wear everyday without getting a headache. Added bonus: it’s a skin-scent enhancer so it smells different on everyone, giving you your own signature scent."
Tarte Cosmetics Tartelette Tubing Mascara
"I don’t understand why everyone hasn’t jumped on the Tubing Mascara train yet. I can spend a whole day walking around Mexico, Paris or New York in crazy humidity without a single smudge or flake. If you haven’t tried it yet, this is your sign."
