Welcome to The Drop, a weekly column where our senior fashion editor, Ella O’Keeffe, catches us up on all things fashion news.

This week marks the relaunch of Coveteur. Naturally, the excitement is palpable for myself and the team, especially upon an afternoon excursion to Times Square to see our billboard (a moment I don’t think any of us were expecting to affect us so much, but really felt surreal). Coveteur’s relaunch is my biggest fashion news this week. Under the leadership of our editor-in-chief, Faith Xue, we hope to usher in a new era of fashion coverage for Coveteur.

Ahead, I'm sharing some fashion moments taking up space in my brain this week...

1. Chloë Sevigny's wardrobe in Magic Farm

IMDb

Last week I attended a screening of Amalia Ulmann’s sophomore film, Magic Farm. The film was obscure and trailing and wonderful and funny, as was Chloë Sevigny’s wardrobe. She plays the aggrieved and strung out host of a vice-style documentary crew who arrive in Argentina to make a film, only to realize they have come to the wrong country. Sevigny wanders around the rural village where they set up camp in stark white Margiela Tabi ballet flats and a Miu Miu cargo bag. The wardrobing throughout the film is fantastic, but the appeal with Sevigny is that it feels as though these are things that the actor would genuinely own. It was also impossible to keep your eyes off her at the screening, which she attended wearing a full Vaquera look from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection. She was all legs and a vision of red and black tracksuit material.

2. Schiaparelli's new campaign with Bibi Breslin

Elsewhere, Schiaparelli has a new accessories campaign starring model on-the-rise, Bibi Breslin lensed by Drew Vickers. The internet has lost its mind over it and rightfully so. Their new silhouette, the Soufflé Bag, is photographed front and centre against Breslin’s toned body, alongside skeletal fish brass gold jewelry, and some of the brand’s most famous motifs like the key hole and lobster.

3. White Lotus star Jon Gries for Jacquemus

The White Lotus star Jon Gries—AKA Greg—stars in a new Jacquemus campaign titled ‘GOING BANANAS FOR JON’, where he is photographed with his shirt unbuttoned holding a banana. This isn’t the first time brands have tapped the White Lotus cast for marketing campaigns, and while the images are good fun (Simon Porte Jacquemus rarely misses a marketing gag), it’s made me think once again about our capacity to sexualize men over a certain age vs. women.

GAP recently tapped White Lotus co-star Parker Posey for their S/S 25 campaign with a significantly different vibe, while Walton Goggins was photographed, shirtless with his knees splayed in nary more than a speedo for the cover of Cultured Magazine just last week. As the "white boy of the month" movement expands its horizons in the age department, when will women over the age of 50 get to participate?

4. Alexander Skarsgaard at the Murderbot premiere

There were also a couple of celebrity sightings that caught my eye in the wardrobe department this week. At the Murderbot premiere in New York, Alexander Skarsgaard stepped out in a custom Calvin Klein look, featuring a floor length tailored black dinner coat, a white button down shirt, a tie and small, dark sunglasses as an homage to the '90s. I loved it!

5. Hailey Bieber channels Anna Wintour

Speaking of the '90s, in 1998, Anna Wintour wore a pale blue silk Gucci by Tom Ford mini dress. This week in New York, Hailey Bieber was spotted wearing the exact same dress that the legendary editor once wore, in a photo with André Leon Talley who was also dressed in the brand. There are plenty of misses to be had in the archival revival department these days, but this was not one of them. I only wish she hadn’t opted for a PVC pump.
