My number one reason Sunday is the best day of the week is it’s the most universally acceptable day to spend all to myself. I love sleeping in, enjoying a hot cup of tea, and, most important, listening to what my body wants and needs most as I prepare for the stressful Monday ahead.
Making time for self-care has always been important to me. Simply listening to my body and doing little things every day for myself transforms my mind-set. My Sunday spa routine not only benefits my skin and hair, but my overall sense of self. Taking the time to take a long, luxurious shower and apply a face mask or two alleviates stress and anxiety and reminds me that I am important and deserve respect. Self-care is never selfish! Because my hair is very thick, it is constantly tangled. If I’m being honest, I’m so used to it that I often forget to take five minutes to brush it. When I do remember, I love using this brush, as it is extremely lightweight and small.
