"Sex and the City" and its woefully cringe big sister, "And Just Like That" may be over for good, but Samantha Jones' legacy lives on through the equally iconic Kim Cattrall, who is celebrating her 69th birthday today. Everybody say happy birthday Kim Cattrall!

Over her 69 years, the actor, who is best known for her role in—and reported beef with—HBO's blockbuster series "Sex and the City" wherein Cattrall plays Samantha Jones, the quippy, sexually liberated publicist to the stars of New York City, and a fan favorite for her hyper-sexual puns and relationship-averse attitude.

While she never properly returned for the "And Just Like That" reboot due to a reported feud with her long-time co-star, Sarah Jessica Parker, on her own accord, there was always a Samantha Jones shaped hole in the follow up series. A Y2K throwback if we ever saw it! Low slung white cargo pants, black flip flops (The Row called and they want their inspiration back), a little orange tank and contrasting turquoise slouchy bag. Perfection.

Potentially one of the most simple looks Jones wore on the show. We love the tonal trench and bag moment. A New York Spring dream!

Never forget this iconic mermaid-inspired look when the four friends go on holiday. Blue really was her colour.

Maximalism done right in her casual 2000s phase. She always loved a gold bag (who remembers the fake Fendi debacle?)

Her siren moment in a clingy red dress, a matching lip, and zebra-print Fendi bag.

She always had the gold jewelry down!

Was this during the Navy week episode? Surely. The matching nautical theme between Carrie and Samantha can only be attributed to Patricia Fields' genius.

Insane color blocking here with a cerulean cowl neck halter top, cobalt belt, and crimson skirt. It works!

More color blocking! Red and turquoise were an obvious favorite.

Remembering when Samantha attended a Playboy Party at Hugh Hefner's house and accused a bunny of stealing her Canal St Fendi purse.
