Pamela Anderson Looks Like a Modern Day Marilyn in NYC

On a Tuesday afternoon in New York City’s bustling Meatpacking District, Pamela Anderson stepped out wearing what has become her signature —an effortlessly minimalist look, sporting her newly cropped, Marilyn Monroe-esque bob.

Earlier this month, Anderson debuted her short hair and baby bangs at the Met Gala, where she stepped onto the blue carpet in a crystal-embellished Tory Burch gown and light, natural makeup look. But yesterday’s appearance erred more on an Old Hollywood approach, keeping to her timeless and unfussy air. She wore a bouclé knit dress dress from Khaite’s spring collection with raw detailing along the collar, sleeves, and hemline, adding a tactile, undone elegance. She accessorized with Proenza Schouler’s Silo bag in taupe suede, plus classic black sunglasses, keeping the look minimal and refined.
Fresh off critical acclaim for her role in Gia Coppola’s The Last Showgirl as Shelly Gardner—a Las Vegas showgirl nearing the end of her famed career—in which she stars alongside Jamie Lee Curtis and Kiernan Shipka, Anderson’s style affirms one thing: that she’s stepped into a new chapter. One that’s grounded and entirely authentic.
Gone are Pamela’s ‘90s staples of mini skirts and baby tees, corsets and cut-offs. Since the release of her 2023 memoir Love, Pamela and the Netflix documentary Pamela, a love story, she’s embraced a pared-down, bare-faced approach to beauty and fashion. Her skincare brand, Sonsie Skin, reflects that ethos. We see the same sentiment reflected in her elevated wardrobe, too.
