November brings a fierce energy but is actually asking us to slow down. This might feel counterintuitive at first. You might have a lot on your plate, but it could feel harder to keep momentum. That’s because it’s not a great time to start something new right now—instead, take this month as a moment to review what you currently have: career, relationships, health and even what’s hanging in your closet.

The month starts off with a buildup of planets in Leo, which gives way to creative surges and a temptation to brag about them. Watch overly prideful behavior that could knock you off your perch, especially as we enter mid-month, when it will be hard to parse out all the changes in the sky.

The Scorpio new moon on November 9th, right in the middle of Venus and Mercury retrograde, gives us an opportunity to refresh. This could mean revisiting friendships or relationships from a different perspective. Retrogrades aren't only about exes—this one can offer the chance to deepen our understanding of special people in our lives, or even decide it's time to get rid of things in our closet we never thought we’d part with. Mercury and Venus emerge from their retrogrades around November 13, when we all need a moment to recalibrate, like stepping away from an active dream that began in early October.

This period also makes us aware of a series of planetary patterns that will last until April 2027, which might feel like a Groundhog Day of letting go in certain parts of life. So while the end of a retrograde normally brings resolution, Mars and Jupiter meet the South Node in Leo, which suggests something else is being pulled from beneath our feet. Beware a toxic relationship or an unresolved matter with an ex. There is a karmic flavor when the South Node is involved. We’ve never seen this trio come together in Leo in our lifetime (!), and therefore we should assume that this will be a month of fresh learnings (for my astro-obsessed, the last time these three were in the same sign was February 2020 in Capricorn alongside Saturn and Pluto). Protecting our boundaries and giving more than taking is one way to approach this configuration. If we can embrace this idea, we can make good use of this time.

The month ends with a potent supermoon in Gemini on November 24. There’s an electrifying feeling to this one, not only being a supermoon but also conjoined to Uranus, famous for its upending energy. With outer planets activated, your mind might quicken and encourage a bolder, more authentic version of yourself by the end of the month. While you might feel less in control of events, you may simultaneously feel freer than ever before.

Aries Rising

You’ve been working hard, but it's possible October was social, too. The Scorpio new moon on November 9 is a time to double-check how you feel about something or someone, both romantically or professionally. Are you really feeling it or is it a situation you’re staying in for convenience? However, it’s important to note that even though Venus is activating relationships through early December, it's best to be more cautious of romances mid-November. If you’re starting to date someone new, that means: go slow. The same goes for investments: if they seem too good to be true, they probably are.

Taurus Rising

Things at home may need your attention until the last week of November: whether it's a family member, or a thought around where you call home. While that’s happening, expect a turnaround Friday November 13, when we welcome the end of Venus and Mercury retrograde (what a date!). You might gain greater clarity on how to organize your life and relationships, but mid-November is still more about clearing out than taking on. Take your clothing to a donation center—you’ll feel better! You might also have the impulse to spend on something you’ve had your eyes on come the full moon on November 24th.

Gemini Rising

After you clear November 13, you’ll be able to take a breath and feel inspired by a new creative or romantic energy. There’s still work to be done, and your mind might be supercharged, but it's not a great time to be signing anything that you want to see go the distance. If you can wait until after the supermoon on November 24 in your sign of Gemini, there might be more momentum to see things come to fruition, despite an unexpected friction in the air. This full moon comes with a boost of testosterone to it, so instead of resisting this friction, use it to problem-solve.

Cancer Rising

You’re spending money right now, but hopefully it's on your creative pursuits—sometimes we have to spend a little to make a little. Your concentration and energy may be on your passion projects or romantic interests leading up to the Scorpio New Moon on November 9, when the retrograde can sharpen your spidey senses even if you prefer to wait until it’s over (November 13) to take decisive action. The energy of the Gemini supermoon on November 24 ignites a craving to turn inwards and connect to your spiritual, if not psychic, capabilities, right when life is starting to get busy again. By that time, you’ll be up and running with plenty of ideas to work on.

Leo Rising

Things are full throttle at the moment, and there doesn’t seem to be much of a break. You might be getting more attention, even though parts of you just want to turn on sleep mode. Your social calendar is stretched, but try to avoid unnecessary gossip while Venus retrograde is in full swing through November 13. Use your mind to come up with some strong business ideas instead. The urge to spend increases after the 25th, so take that as your sign to grab a few colorful pieces for your winter wardrobe.

Virgo Rising

It’s possible you’ve spent Mercury’s retrograde since October 24 busy, thinking, and ruminating. That will slowly come to an end November 13, where you should be on the lookout for aha moments. Don’t stress, though: your ideas might not fully develop until early December, and that’s okay. Just know that from the end of November, all systems are a go. If ever there was an opportunity to diversify your career, this is it. For some of you, a professional shift could be a current theme. By the time we reach the Gemini supermoon on November 24, you could see a career event. This will coincide with the start of a period of busyness and multi-tasking that will take you into late February 2027.

Libra Rising

The end of the Venus retrograde on November 13 signals a slowing down of a cycle that began, believe it or not, at the end of August. So take a moment to reflect on relationships, your outlook of life, and how you show up in the world. These themes will wrap up around mid-December, so there’s still plenty of time to effect change, including that new look you were pondering during the retrograde (good job if you held off on a purchase until now). Unfortunately, it isn’t a great month to enter into new commitments, but if you’re looking to end something, taking action mid November will ensure that relationship is on its way out.

Scorpio Rising

Obviously, the November 9 Scorpio new moon is an opportunity to begin again, but because ofMercury’s retrograde in your sign, you could feel a lack of momentum. This is because for you, Scorpio, Mercury can also bring unforeseen events. A good use of this time is to connect to yourself and reflect on the future. Create consistency in your meditation practice, or engage in  a tarot or intuitive reading; all will tap Mercury’s supportive qualities. Work is on your mind, and there may be opportunities, but you might lack clearcut direction. This month could come with a shift in identity and professional role echoing themes for you this year. Listen to that Scorpionic sixth  sense.

Sagittarius Rising

The first few days of the month might bring particularly impassioned moments of self-realization. Part of that could be being more discerning about who you’re dating. By mid-November, you could feel that something must change—you might need to give something up to take something on, or be more specific with your vision board. Greediness and overt risk-taking are not productive here. The Sun entering Sagittarius 22 November may feel like a pick me up as you  head into the last milestone leading up to the supermoon in Gemini on November 24, which includes a brilliant Uranus opposition: think chance encounters, or unexpected events.

Capricorn Rising

The bigger themes of the year are directing you to your inner landscape and home life, but Venus retrograde until November 13 might be having you reinventing yourself and focused on your professional persona. This could even include something as simple as refining your work wardrobe. On the home front, if you do need to sign a new lease, it’s best to wait until after mid-November. The Gemini supermoon November 24 pulls you back in the direction of work, and could also inspire you to reinvent your health and wellness routine. Red light therapy, anyone?

Aquarius Rising

November is dominated by relationship themes—either through meeting new people or tension with people already in your life. Although you are magnetic, it's good to pace yourself. This is a time to hit eject if a relationship feels wrong, particularly because you’re getting clear on what you want. If you've been wanting to refresh your Hinge profile, this month might motivate you to do so. The November 24 supermoon in Gemini brings quirky and eccentric first-date energy: risk-taking is at an all time high, so take a moment before you say yes!

Pisces Rising

Life may be feeling costly and admin-heavy as of late, so keep to your financial planning in November. Use the Scorpio New Moon on November 9 to drum up a vision board about your personal direction and money goals. Expect momentum to build as you get closer to the November 24 Gemini supermoon as you’re juggling work and home. Part of that might be finally taking self-care seriously: a facial or massage would do wonders.
