Halfway into the Paris Fashion Week schedule, it was time for Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez to present their Spring/Summer 2027 collection for Loewe, marking a full year of collections from the former Proenza Schouler designers at the Spanish house.
There were plenty of trendy things to see at their Spring presentation: exposed labels, maximalist layering, and super popular colors like turquoise and coral. But the most interesting thing, by far, was the duo's different interpretations of collars this season.

Later, the same style bomber jacket had a double collar, one at the nape of the neck and one partway down the chest with the same unzipped effect. Flanked by a simple white shift dress with a metallic, reflective copper collar, which was continued in reflective yellow, blue, and that same copper on various dresses and trench coats throughout.

V-neck sweaters were tucked into skirts, their necks skewed, pulled and twisted for an off-center effect, while a pullover jacket in turquoise leather had the collar reversed to appear backwards on purpose, adding to the off-beat feeling of this season's collection.

At August Barron, collars were pulled down, while at Maison Margiela, they were flipped on trench coats, scooped and sculpted on outerwear. Over at Balenciaga, collars were oversized and popped, giving ultimate volume around the nape for a stronger approach. These likely won't be the last examples we see of a rogue collar this season!
