Welcome to Style Diaries, a series where we research the physical manifestations of our closet tours IRL. We're asking friends and tastemakers to show us what they're *actually* wearing during the week and to provide a little insight into their thoughts on the current state of fashion.

This week, we're following Lilly Sisto, press and partnerships manager at LoveShackFancy, as she goes from press previews in Paris all the way back to neighborhood strolls in the West Village. Sisto’s approach to style is chaotic and fun in the best way possible and always incorporates an element of surprise. She's also the queen of mixing high and low pieces, and proves that closet staples really can (and should!) be worn again and again.

Look 1: Work Trip

"I only brought one jacket with me on this work trip and wore it with every outfit—I have never loved a jacket so much. It's from Maje and the color goes with everything. I love the scallop crochet detail. I wore it with my favorite striped T-shirt from COS, a LoveShackFancy silk midi skirt, my trusty Adidas sneakers, and Celine sunglasses."

Look 2: Casual Date Night

"This was a casual date night look for dinner with my boyfriend. I love dressing up boxer shorts (these are from Emily Levine). I wanted a pop of color, so I added this incredible vintage orange tank, a Marni bag, and blue satin Miu Miu ballet flats with gray socks from H&M. The gold necklace is actually a vintage belt that I bought in Paris earlier this summer—I wrapped it around twice to make a necklace!"

Look 3: Work Trip Round 2

"I work for LoveShackFancy and we were in Paris for market. I was trying on our new resort collection and had to jump on the hotel bed, so obviously we did a little photo shoot. I am so obsessed with this navy set that is coming out soon. I will be wearing it every day."

Look 4: Drinks With a Friend

"This crochet sweater is Zara—I was so mad at myself for not buying it two summers ago. It sold out, so I had to find one on Poshmark. I think it's fun to mix different shades of red. I added this fun hibiscus print vintage Miu Miu skirt that my friend found for me, my trusty Adidas sneakers, and a white pair of ruffle socks. I wore a white tank from Brandy Melville underneath, and finished the look with my favorite second-hand purchase—this amazing Hermès bag—to go have drinks with a friend."

Look 5: Morning Coffee Run

"I wore this look to go get my morning coffee. Celine is probably my favorite brand, so I had to have this T-shirt when I saw it. I paired it with this fun midi skirt from Emily Levine, who is based out of Milan and makes the most beautiful clothes. I added these fun lime green ballet flats from Mango and a purse from Maje. My style is all about mixing highs and lows."

Look 6: Work Meetings

"I was heading to an all-day meeting with everyone on our marketing team at LoveShackFancy. This Marc Jacobs Runway skirt was a gem of a find that I got on super sale and I thought it would be fun to pair with this plaid Khaite bra that has grosgrain straps, my Sacai x Nike sneakers, and my Prada Raffia tote bag that I use nearly every day during the summer."

Notes on Style:

How would you describe your sense of style?

"I'm always on the lookout for anything that's unexpected and zany—I love '90s fashion. There's a level of practicality to my style, but it's done in a really quirky way that I think makes it unique. I have a strong love for quality and forever pieces, which is why so much of my closet is vintage, but I also think it's important to be able to mix high and low in a way that's seamless. I'm also really big on comfort, so I'm always looking for great materials—even in pieces that are on the lower end of my price range."

Are there any designers that you really love?

"I die for Khaite—every piece she produces is more beautiful than the next, and the quality is impeccable. I also love Prada, Miu Miu, and Gucci."

What's your beauty routine like?

"I am completely skincare-obsessed. I don’t love to wear makeup, so anything that will give me glowing, sun-kissed and dewy skin is my kind of product. I recently became obsessed with French pharmacies and their products...every time I go in one I am in complete heaven.

Some mornings I wash my face and others I just use micelar water. I always follow with a moisturizing toner. I’m currently loving the Environ one, then I will follow with vitamin C, moisturizer, and sunscreen. The Beauty of Joseon sunscreen is the best I have yet to find. I also always wear eye cream. Then I will flash on some bronzer or mix in tan drops, a little concealer, a little blush, and that’s it! I love Gucci Westman products for makeup and Charlotte Tilbury bronzer.

I like to double cleanse at night—first with an oil and then a regular cleanser. Some nights I will also exfoliate and every other night I use French A313 (which is their version of Retinol) and you wake up with the most glowing skin. I like to then use a hyaluronic serum and thick moisturizers. I have very dry skin so anything to look like a glazed donut!"

Are there any pieces you collect or have a particular affinity towards?

"Old Celine—I love the Michael Kors era as much as I love Phoebe Philo. I also have too many heather gray pieces to count...sweaters, T-shirts, tanks, you name it."
