Keeping Tabs: Joanna Halpin, Model & Photographer

British-born, NYC-dwelling model and photographer Joanna Halpin is someone who always looks put together. Whether she's showing up in a plain white silk slip, or a cashmere sweater and jeans, her eye for simple, timeless pieces is one that truly embodies the sentiment of effortlessness.

While not one to follow trends, her style leans towards classic pieces that can put in the miles, like a Burberry trench, for example, which Halpin admits she is "quite partial to", citing her British heritage. Her work follows the same sensibilities here: simple, thoughtful, and self-possessed when she is both in front and behind the lens.

From classic leather flap CHANEL handbags to simple cupro pants and tiny shorts by Paloma Wool and books on death, we asked Halpin to share what's inspiring her this summer. Keep scrolling to see Joanna Halpin's open tabs.

What's Entertaining You?

- Reading: I just started a booked called ‘how we live is how we die’ it sounds a little morbid to be reading about death - but it actually brings so much joy and appreciation to everything.

- Listening to: A playlist I started at the beginning of the year - every year and month I start a new playlist and all the songs I am feeling / like / find in my discover weekly and just add to it.

What's In Your Cart?

- Phoebe Philo Club Slipper: most perfect everyday shoe, would wear with everything.

- Paloma Wool Cupro Pants: I already have these pants in a couple of other colors but love so much that maybe I also need in blue.

- Chanel Classic 11.12 Handbag: this classic Chanel bag is always on my mind but have never had the courage to check out - maybe one day.

- Paloma Wool Bonma Fitted Shorts: love a tiny teeny tiny summer short for Europeans holidays.

What Are You Saving?

- Lesse Ritual Serum: My favorite beauty product is the LESSE serum (it’s not actually a beauty product, it’s skincare) but it makes my skin so clear and glowy that I don’t need to wear anything else on my skin - so that is always in my cart as I live in fear of running out. I also recently got a red light mask (current body) that I am excited to get back to New York and try.

What Are You Browsing?

The Row: I don’t own a single item from this brand, but if we are living in a fantasy world then maybe The Row - forever the most timeless and chic.
