Hailey Bieber Brings Back The Lob
The it-girl chop of the season.

With the help and artistry of celebrity hairstylist and self proclaimed beauty addict Justine Marjan, Hailey Bieber has debuted a blunt, collarbone grazing chop just in time for the holidays—proving that she can pull off any and all hairstyles. We like to think of the lob as the bob's cool big sister—a long bob that sits just right above or just below the shoulders. It's too long to be considered what we know to be a quintessential bob, but too long to really be considered anything else. With a lot of discourse around different styles of bobs, it’s about time that the lob becomes a major part of the conversation. Marjan likes to call Bieber's cut "the it girl lob" and notes that "it's the perfect length so that when styled with volume it hits right around the shoulders."
"The key is to maintain fullness, so no layers in the back and keeping long layers around the front for face framing with slight point cutting for gentle movement," Marjan shares.
Bieber is no stranger to playing with hair lengths. From long golden locks to true chin-length bobs, she's always playing with styles and taking risks for the sake of finding what suits her and her features best. Now, she has gone for a length that falls perfectly in the middle—a look that also perfectly frames her face and appears effortlessly cool and tousled.

According to Marjan, the it-girl lob can and should be the go-to for anyone and everyone, despite face shape and hair texture, looking to make a bit of a change. "A lob is universally flattering and a perfect transitional length between seasons," she told us.
So, with that in mind, who else is considering an it-girl chop this holiday season?
