Makeup is back. Don't mistake us, we loved the fluffy brow and sharp eye looks resulting from last year's most important accessory—the face mask. But we missed the drama of a bold lip and the excitement of fall hued shadows and blushes. So, yes, this year we're rejoicing, loudly, for the return of makeup. For all the details on the season's top looks we turned to celebrity makeup artists Nydia Figueroa, Erika La' Pearl, and Kim Baker. So get your brushes and pencils ready, these are the makeup trends to get behind this fall.
Burgundy, Peach, & Pink Tones
"I am noticing that some of this year's fall trends include a color palette of pinks, peaches, and burgundy." —Erika La' Pearl
"Call it what you want but dusty peach, Apricot or terracotta works for everyone, from the fairest of them all to the Melanin Queens with the richest of deep tone, this color is everything and makes everyone skin looks so gorgeous. These shades of peach look great on the eyes, lips, and cheeks and helps the most amateur of artists look like a seasoned pro!" —Kim Baker
"Rich and opaque colors on the lips are making a comeback for the fall especially now that people are showing their lips more than last season." —Nydia Figueroa
Fully Loaded Lashes
"A forever trend for me is Loaded lashes, be it all your own lashes or falsies. To achieve this look I use Glamazon Beauty "Lash couture Mascara". It goes on beautifully with two coat for lashes in the blackest of black color that will give your eye volume, length, and lift." —Kim Baker
"Full lashes are definitely in full force for the season. This season it's all about getting creative and playing with bold blacks and a little color as well!" —Nydia Figueroa
"Personally, a glossy lip is one of my favorite looks because it can be worn from daytime to evening—classic and timeless. It also works well with the neutral colors, bronzers, and blushes that were so popular this summer" —Erika La' Pearl
"Graphic liner is still very much a trend this season. The look is polished, sleek, and fierce for the fall. For a colored eyeliner option that has great staying power and glides on with ease, I would definitely recommend the 24/7 Glide-On Pencil from Urban Decay." —Nydia Figueroa
"You can take baby steps if you're not ready to try a full-on graphic eye. Try experimenting with a look as simple a few dots across the eye that flow into a soft wing open ended liner. Or for a subtle graphic look, try playing with the fullness of your liner across your eye. I like Glamazon Beauty's long lasting Flawless gel eyeliner pen. The felt tip is ideal for perfect precision!" —Kim Baker
"The kitten eye is on the rise this season. Compared to the traditional cat eye, the look is all about a cleaner line and shorter wing." —Erika La' Pearl
