More fashion news announcements have come this week, as we all waited with bated breath to see who Courreges would tip as Nicholas Di Felice’s successor. The news came earlier this week on March 30, where the French house has announced that former Phoebe Philo protégé Drew Henry.

Henry will present his debut collection in September during Paris Fashion week, giving him ample run up time to become familiar with the house. The South-African born 38-year-old designer’s resume includes a host of leading brands including Céline, during Philo’s creative era, when he later reunited with her for the launch of her eponymous brand. He also served as the design director for ready-to-wear at JW Anderson and most recently, senior design director at Burberry under Daniel Lee.

Henry is a Central Saint Martins graduate, and though he is previously untested in a creative director role, I have high hopes that anyone who has trained under Philo will bring a fresh perspective to the house.

Maison Margiela Stages Fall/Winter 2026 Show In Shanghai

You may have noticed that Maison Margiela didn’t appear on the FW26 calendar this season. That’s because the brand, in line with a larger activation within China, staged its Fall/Winter 2026 ready-to-wear show in Shanghai this week instead.

For Glenn Martens’ FW26 exploration for Margiela, the Belgian designer began with the concept of things that one might stumble across at a Parisian flea market: porcelain dolls, antique silhouettes, and vintage motifs. Woven throughout the collection were one-off couture pieces, mixed in with the ready-to-wear offering to create a complete story of the house of Margiela, including a porcelain effect dress, where porcelain is made piece-by-piece for the body, shattered, and fixed onto the gown.

Faces are covered, in keeping with both Martens’ visual identity and Maison Margiela’s original codes, some organza and painted like porcelain dolls, others embellished with crystals or crocheted.

The collection offers masterful draping, intricate silhouettes, and motifs that perfectly encapsulate the codes of the house. Another triumph for Mr. Martens.

Elsewhere in the never ending revolving door of designer shifts, Carven design director Mark Thomas is leaving the brand after one year at his post. In a press release, Thomas is reportedly leaving to “pursue other opportunities”, so we’ll look forward to seeing where he pops up next. He previously worked alongside Louise Trotter before she was tipped for the Bottega Veneta job.

Versace Launches Collaboration With Onitsuka Tiger

Versace

For Dario Vitale’s first and only Versace debut, a series of sneakers and loafers with a familiar pattern on the body of the shoe. This branding was none other than Onitsuka Tiger’s iconic interlocking stripe logo. Now, the brand unveils Onitsuka Tiger x Versace. In a campaign shot by Frank Lebon, the images capture the visceral energy of a collaboration built on dynamism—an expression of movement and physical power, rooted deep in the heritage of both Versace and Onitsuka Tiger. In light of the ballet sneaker trend everyone seems to be shopping this spring, it’s perfect timing!
