Last week, fashion people and art enthusiasts flocked to Miami for Art Basel and Coveteur did what Coveteur does best: curate a chic moment of celebration. At Little Torch—a cozy, candlelit bar with '70s-inspired decor and Latin flair tucked away at buzzy hotel hot spot The Shelborne By Proper—friends of Coveteur gathered for an intimate dinner to celebrate the intersection of art and style. Fresh off a head-to-toe Proper makeover, The Shelborne By Proper was the place everyone from artists to editors to celebrities seemed to stay in or hangout in during Basel. With an energy that's nostalgic and new (it was the former Miami Beach stomping ground of icons like Marilyn Monroe, Frank Sinatra and The Beatles), the hotel blends classic Miami Beach glamour with Proper’s signature warm minimalism, making it the perfect backdrop for Coveteur's intimate dinner.

Oysters, scallops, papas fritas, tostones, and more were on the menu and all served family style as Mary Leest, Cait Bailey and Isa Sung sipped on mini martinis. They were joined by artists Sophie Tea, fresh off of live-painting an event at the Versace mansion the night before, and Hiba Schahbaz and Sophia Bounou, both of whom had their works shown at Basel.

It wouldn't be a Coveteur event if we sent our friends home empty handed. Guests left with gift bags featuring Miami Shampoo & Conditioner from our partner Shampoohotel, along with beauty gifts selected by our Editor-in-Chief, Faith Xue, ensuring that guests left with some of her favorites and, therefore, a little piece of Coveteur.
