For The Grammys, Chappell Roan Took Naked Dressing To New Heights

Not to brag or anything, but we're sort of naked dress connoisseur's here at Coveteur. From Hailey Bieber and Teyana Taylor reviving the whale tail to Amelia Gray's Swarovski moment, we are committed to reporting naked dressing news in real time—because that's what good fashion reporters do. But, to be honest, nothing could've prepared us for Chappell Roan's 2026 Grammys red carpet look which is truly a new level of naked dressing unlocked.

Chappell Roan, last year's recipient of the Grammy for best new artist, arrived on the red carpet in a deep red dress with a dramatic train that only reached her bust, a custom look by Mugler inspired by the house's Spring 2026 collection. At the bust, the draped pooled dress attaches to Roan's prosthetic nipple piercings. Tonight, Roan's greatest accessories are the tattoos on her chest, back, midriff, and arms—perfectly shown off in this topless moment.

For Roan, fashion and risks go hand in hand. Chappell, one of our favorite pop girls, is consistently taking risks, trying on different personas, playing dress up and, in turn, starting conversations—which is exactly what we want out of celebrities, especially at the Grammys. While most of the naked dressing moments that we've known and loved have been sheer, we, as naked dress lovers and encouragers, appreciate this new perspective—if one wants to show up to the Grammys topless, go for it.
