All Of The Best Looks From The Cannes Film Festival Red Carpet

The 78th annual Cannes Film Festival has returned for another year of glamour, and things officially kicked off on May 13, following a touch of controversy as the news broke yesterday that the Grand Théâtre Lumière was outlawing nudity and long trains from the official dressing guidelines.
One might assume, given the short notice of it all, that those walking the red carpet over the next week would be scrambling to find something appropriate if their planned looks made it on the banned list, but this afternoon, as the opening ceremony kicks off in the French Riviera, it didn't seem to be too much of an obvious struggle.
Bella Hadid arrived with Chopard wearing giant emerald earrings and an almost-rule-breaking Saint Laurent dress, while Irina Shayk's voluminous Armani Privé gown was also permitted on the carpet, hinting that the crackdown is perhaps not as strict as we initially thought.
The films that are expected to debut this year are Die, My Love, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, Elle Fanning, Scarlett Johansson, and Josh O’Connor, alongside the cast of Ari Astor’s Eddington: Emma Stone, Austin Butler, Pedro Pascal, and Joaquin Phoenix. Naturally, plenty of supermodels and Hollywood heavyweights will be in attendance throughout the week, too, plus jury members Juliette Binoche, Halle Berry, Jeremy Strong, and Alba Rohrwacher are all slated to attend.
