Jean Paul Gaultier Taps Blackpink’s Jennie For Latest Campaign
Crowned “The ultimate Gaultier muse.”

This morning, French luxury label Jean Paul Gaultier released a pre-fall 2025 collection, modelled by none other than BLACKPINK’s Jennie, who has been crowned “The ultimate Gaultier muse.” The campaign comes just as the brand awaits the arrival of its new creative director Duran Lantink, the Dutch fashion designer who will oversee Jean Paul Gaultier couture and ready-to-wear.
The campaign also marks a major move for the K-pop singer and actor, who has previously faced many campaigns with Chanel as a brand ambassador, who she wore to the Met Gala earlier this month, in a black and white tuxedo dress. When it came to shooting for Gaultier, though, Jennie was taken by the prevalent undercurrent of dream-like creativity and whimsy. “Every look had its own energy—fluid, fiery, grounded, or light—and I loved expressing all those sides of myself through Gaultier’s incredible design,” She said in the press release. “Jean Paul Gaultier has always inspired me to be bold, and this was truly a celebration of that spirit.”

Brought to life by the Paris design studio, the pre-fall collection showcases the newest releases, which embody the four elements—water, fire, earth and air—through materials, movement, color and design, keeping true to Gaultier’s signature sculptural corsetry, tailoring and imagination. In one of the looks, Jennie can be seen wearing a double denim ensemble that plays with volume, architecture, and tailoring for a fun twist on the classics. In another, a much more body-skimming silhouette with a loud yet muted print with the Gaultier logo etched on the chest.
We’ll soon see how Lantink, who’s widely known for avant-garde, sustainable, and often defiant creations, will honor Gaultier’s heritage. In fact, Lantink’s playful and daring eye is exactly what made Gaultier halt the ever-rotating door of couture guest designers.
