This season, we have seen plenty of covetable moments on the runway, from naked shoes (again) to the bags of the season, but no accessory felt more prevalent this season than a big ass belt, especially in Paris.
Over the weekend, some of the biggest belts of the season were seen at Celine, whose Michael Rider offered supersized buckles for Spring/Summer 2027, cinching at the waist in a very mid-2000s way. These past years, it's not uncommon for designers at luxury houses to incorporate aughts codes in a contemporary, elevated way, and the belts this season have done exactly that.

For Valentino's Spring/Summer 2027 show, Alessandro Michele also put big belts back on the waistline, ones with studs and western buckles and ones with gemstones; as did Nadège Vanhée-Cybulski at Hermès, though hers were more streamlined and equestrian in nature in keeping with the house code.
