The 78th annual Cannes Film Festival has officially wrapped up for another year, and after an eventful few weeks of last-minute dress-code changes and Alexander Skarsgård in a lot of leather, we as a team are reflecting on the week that was via the red carpet.

Each year, actors, directors, models and industry leaders gather in the French Riviera for one of the most glamorous weeks in cinema to celebrate some of the most hotly-anticipated films of the year. This always comes accompanied by red carpet looks to stop us in our tracks.

Whether it's Dakota Johnson in a custom Gucci column gown, or Isabelle Huppert, who year-after-year is swathed in Balenciaga, below, the Coveteur editors are calling our their favorite red carpet looks from the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.

"Alexa Chung will forever be that girl for me, and this black satin Celine look was no exception. I love the drop waist and pretty sweetheart neckline, while simple hair and accessories still grounds it in a feeling of coolness. The asymmetrical hemline also makes for an 'Old Hollywood' element versus a princess one." – Ella O'Keeffe, Senior Fashion Editor

Isabelle Huppert

"In my world, Isabelle Huppert is the coolest woman in France–maybe the world. Her long-standing relationship with Balenciaga only cements her as such. Each year, Huppert tackles the Cannes red carpet in a custom or runway Balenciaga look, and this year was no different. I love the backwards double denim, the oversized brooch, the sunglasses and boots peeking out from the skirt split. All perfection." – Ella O'Keeffe, Senior Fashion Editor

Gracie Abrams

"Something about the length of this satin-crêpe CHANEL dress, sheer matching shawl and Gracie's undone, wispy updo just feels right to me." – Faith Xue, Editor-in-Chief

Naomi Campbell

"To no one's surprise, Naomi Campbell looks like a literal Grecian goddess in a slinky, floor-length white gown at The History Of Sound red carpet. I can't stop thinking about how utterly ethereal she looks." - Faith Xue, Editor-in-Chief

Bella Hadid

"Never did I think a simple black slip dress on the Cannes red carpet could be so arresting, but a high thigh-slit and super-low back on Bella Hadid's Saint Laurent number instantly proved me wrong." - Faith Xue, Editor-in-Chief

Dakota Johnson

"My favorite look this year was Dakota Johnson's custom pink Gucci gown adorned with fringed tassels. She gave movement! Drama! Body!" – Kala Herh, Social Strategy Lead

Eva Longoria

"An exposed corset has my heart - Eva Longoria came, saw, and conquered in this Tamara Ralph Couture look. The necklace was truly the cherry on top." – Natasha Sheridan, Social Creative Lead

Daisy Edgar-Jones

"Daisy Edgar Jones making her Cannes Film Festival debut in that Gucci strapless column dress was everything and more. The sequins added enough texture and shimmer to really make it pop, which is not an easy feat with a black dress. Plus, the Boucheron diamond necklace was the perfect piece to complete the look." – Stephanie Meraz, Associate Editor

Viola Davis

"Viola Davis really played into color, and boy did this lime green Gucci gown serve her well. I also love how she really leaned into it with emerald jewels that complemented the color scheme." – Stephanie Meraz, Associate Editor
