For several seasons in a row, the bohemian, nomadic aesthetic has been catching our eyes on runways. There was Isabel Marant's Spring/Summer 2026 runway filled with crochet shorts, dresses, and skirts, Chloé's Spring/Summer 2026 runway featuring voluminous skirts and to die for ruffled lace details, and Etro's grungy take on the boho aesthetic through their Spring/Summer 2026 collection. It was Bella Hadid, though, who certified that we need to have a boho summer when she walked down the streets of Los Angeles in a satin lace-trimmed babydoll slip dress, a mini Chloé paddington bag, and wedged clogs as if she stepped right out of the '70s.
The bohemian aesthetic is inspired by a nomadic, free-spirited, creative, and slightly unconventional energy very much connected with nature. In terms of fashion, think flowing silhouettes, vintage-inspired details, embroidery, lace, billowing sleeves, crochet, fringe, interesting layers, maxi dresses and skirts, and so much more.
BACKGRIDWhile we know which big mainstream designers to turn to when in need of a bit of boho inspiration, we've been turning to smaller brands, too.
Ahead, 5 boho brands pioneering the boho summer of our dreams.
3. Mes Demoiselles
Mes Demoiselles was founded in a small atelier in the bohemian Le Marais district of Paris in 2006—and the designs are very much reflective of that. The brand offers pieces that are flowy, romantic, free-spirited, and undeniably vintage-inspired. Founded by designer Anita Radovanovic, her love for global travel is also an important element weaved through each garment.
4. DÔEN
Founded by sisters Margaret and Katherine Kleveland in Los Angeles, their designs are inspired by 1970s California, where the bohemian aesthetic was highly popular. Known for their cottage-core and bohemian style dresses, billowy blouses, and details like smocking, eyelet lace, and hand-embroidery, DÔEN offers a modern take on the boho aesthetic—while also very much embracing the vintage elements we all know and love.
5. Sea New York
Founded by childhood friends Monica Paolini and Sean Monahan in 2007, the brand is a merge their loves for romantic silhouettes, vintage details, and wardrobe staples. Their offerings are a balance between bohemian elements like crochet, patchwork, and lace and structured, gender fluid silhouettes.
