Balenciaga's Debut Fragrance Collection Connects Past, Present & Future

The campaign, shot by British artist Katerina Jebb, doesn't stray far from the brand's past either: with a high-resolution scanning machine, she produces intimate visuals against Balenciaga's signature industrial gray backdrop, visuals deeply connected to the house's history and Le Dix in particular. Along with the visuals of the new collection, the campaign also includes archival sketches of the original bottle design and advertisements for Le Dix from 1947, honoring the house's legacy while, with ten brand new fragrances, embracing the future.

Coveteur's senior fashion editor, Ella O'Keeffe, went to preview the collection earlier this year and, after smelling all of the fragrances ranging from sultry to woody, she walked away with a favorite. "I loved 100%. This rose-based scent has a metallic quality that makes you go back for more and I love that in a fragrance," She noted. "One of the more heady scents in the collection, which I don't usually opt for, 100% has an unexpected freshness that makes it wearable for everyday."

Each fragrance is available in a 100ml bottle for $320, as mini fragrance bag charms for $490, and 15ml travel sizes for $70. For those of us having a hard time deciding where to begin, a discovery set of 10ml bottles of all ten fragrances is available for $395. And, perhaps the best part of all: once you finish your bottle, you can purchase a refill for $275, so this can easily become your forever fragrance.
